Wonderful experience. Stayed here the first few days of my first solo trip. Arrived late at night, so I slept in and missed breakfast the first morning. Hosts insisted that I eat before I ventured out and prepared some fresh noodle soup for me with bread and a banana. It was absolutely delicious, full of fresh ingredients and home-cooked goodness.... The family are unbelievably helpful and friendly. The room was clean, spacious and very homely. Located just a short walk from the heart of Saigon nightlife and restaurants. Much better value than similar prices hostels, added bonus' include a free breakfast, book swap, cheap water, great prices on tours. A must stay!

I can see why this hostel has positive reviews and was Trip Advisors Travelers Choice for 2013 and 2012. Like another traveler, I arrived early...at 8:30 am and was invited to have breakfast even though checkin wasn't til 13:00. I enjoyed a very delicious homemade banana pancake and tea. Free of charge. It's 10:46 am and I'm in my room... More

The rooms were pretty basic, and the sheets kept falling off (we stayed in a double bed private), but were clean, and the AC and wifi worked well. The staff were super super friendly and the location is quite good, though most of the backpackers are on the same narrow alley. The market at the end of the street is... More

The staff at the reception are very friendly and you get a homely feel here as it is a family owned hostel. We came early in the morning without booking, and they offered us breakfast at no extra charge which was lovely. They provide many trips there as well and we booked Mekong Delta through them, however they are not... More

Second stay at Long's in April. Staff are gorgeous. We left some items at Longs while we travelled to Mekong Delta and Cambodia. Woops, we forgot that we only had a single Visa to Vietnam and couldn't get back in which meant an overnight stay at the airport before taking our morning flight to Jakarta. The staff at Longs went... More

We stayed 2 nights here in a private room for $19 (agoda special). The room itself could use a thorough cleaning and updating. We had some small ants all over the room. The AC and fridge worked great, however, the shower hardly had any pressure (but it was hot). We heard lots of noises while in our room, from both... More

This was our first stop in Saigon! What kind service, fantastic location, super inexpensive, great breakfast and good enough beds. It is just off the main drag, so its not noisy. The view sucks (another building) but please tell me you arent going to Saigon for a room view :) There is a blind school just down the street where... More

My brother and I wondered here after a quick search in the area after getting off a bus from a Me Kong Delta tour and we are so thankful we did! They had a room available, but because we had to wait they served us bananas and tea! And it wasn't even a long wait- maybe 15 minutes. The bed... More

Reading the reviews made Long Hostel an easy choice when choosing accommodation in Ho Chi Minh City. As soon as we walked through the door we were greeted by massive smiles and friendly "hellos!!!". The rooms were really good for a hostel and the staff made our stay even better by reading through the map with us and recommending were... More
