Cat Huy is down a lane where a market sets up at about 5 AM until noon, then all is quiet. Because of its distance from the main road it is quiet. There is no elevator but the staff will carry your bag up and down and you should get a room on the 5th floor or higher for the... More

This was my second stay at Cat Huy and after traveling and living in SE Asia for over 4 years and staying in over 100 budget hotels, I can say, unequivocally, that Cat Huy is the best budget hotel in SE Asia! I would not change one little thing! Comfortable rooms - good showers, comfy beds, crisp sheets, spacious rooms... More

The Cat Huy is a simple, clean hotel with bright rooms, and a terrific Vietnamese breakfast. Located down a quiet alleyway that transforms into a small morning wet-market, there are plenty of things to do/see/eat within walking distance. The staff are friendly and efficient, and the rooms are bright and comfortable. There is no elevator, so if you're not a... More

Stayed here 2 nights at the beggining of this year. Hotel room was spacious, staff were helpful. Breakfast wasn't a huge variety to choose from but the food was nice. This was the only hotel in Vietnam which didn't help with luggage and the hotel doesn't have an elevator so you will need to lug everything upstairs yourself and to... More

As others have pointed out - the hotel is down a small alley so it is quiet in spite of being in the middle of the busy tourist district. Large windows so there was lots of light. Beds were comfortable.Breakfast is uninspired but fine. I would point out that the balcony's are about 2.5 feet square - too tiny for... More

It was very near to all the tourist destinations. Specially Bun Cha, this is my favourite restaurant in vietnam. Everything was nice in this hotel except our room was on the 6th floor if I'm not mistaken. It was a very tiring going up and down the stairs. -Love from the philippines

Best room we stayed in in Vietnam. The rooms were large, with good water pressure and hot water. The hotel is down a dark alley at night, but during this day this alley is full of butchers, seafood sellers, and all kinds of food vendors. It's also in the main backpacker area of HCMC. The staff was very accommodating and... More

Im very impress on how clean this hotel is. The room is huge and have an interesting lay-out and a little balcony. When we arrive at HCMC its tricky to find this hotel. The aisle going in is a bit intimidating to some people. If you really want to experience how locals get-by everyday, then this is the hotel for... More

This place is located in an ally that when you first enter you think about turning around and leaving. Don't worry the place is an oasis. It is conveniently located to all the tourist action in district one. The rooms are large and comfortable. Breakfast is free and good, baguette and eggs with fruit. Free coffee included. Staff is friendly.... More

Great value for low price. Hotel is simple but clean. Staff is very friendly. So cool: the deserted little street we arrived in at night had turned into a crazy busy market in the morning. Pho in the morning is being delivered by a lady from across the street and is very delicious!
