This was a restful, modern option for a hotel in HCMC. It's set down a narrow alley where a local market takes place during the first part of the day. You can sit having your breakfast, as you watch people buy their veggies and seafood. The main staff guy could not be more pleasant or helpful. The rooms were pretty... More

Our room was beautiful. It even had an enclosed shower! And the water pressure was good, and we never ran out of hot water! The location was convenient for tourists, though the alley it is on turns into a hectic and tight market during the day. Compared to the other places we stayed at in the same price range in... More

This was our first experience of Vietnam and Ho Chi Minh so keep this in mind when reading this. The hotel arranged an airport pick up for $15 - we were delayed at the visa by two hour que and were exhausted and so relieved that the taxi was still waiting. The alley way setting meant we would have struggled... More

We stayed here for 5 nights and would recommend this hotel. The location down the alley is slightly off putting in the dark so solo travellers may want to stay in alternate accommodation. As a couple it was fine and is a good retreat from the noise of the backpacker bars on Bui Vien St whilst still being close to... More

The hotel is small, tall and has no elevator, like many of the hotels in HCMC. The Cat Huy is tucked away down an alley so you're slightly away from the hustle bustle madness of the city, though may not be recommended for a female solo traveller. But it is close to the centre, just a short walk to the... More

My main grievance with this hotel is that it is located at the junction of three extremely seedy and poorly lit alleyways. The first night I arrived here, two girls were attacked right outside the hotel and had their passports stolen. When I later mentioned the incident to the woman at reception, she said people get mugged here quite frequently... More

In the old town, with walking distance to many attractions, you find this lovely little hotel 50 meters in from the main street on a local originally narrow street. The hotel rooms are very nice and you feel that they are well maintained and decorated with taste. The staff engages them self in all questions you have regarding shopping or... More

Stayed here a couple of years ago, at the time we enjoyed our stay so when we visited HCM there was only one choice we considered as we know the area, know the hotel and were happy to return. All was as it had been previously. Nice clean well located hotel in a quiet residential city centre lane a short... More

Booked hotel online. The hotel only had a room with no windows available; this concerned us a bit. Very friendly staff. Excellent "pho bo" in the morning. The room, despite having no windows, were above expectations. Good bed. Warm shower. Cheap. Clean. Positioned in a narrow local morning marked street selling fruit, vegetables, squid, chicken etc.. 15-20 minute walk Ben... More

This was the first hotel we stayed at for our 2 weeks travelling around Vietnam, and it was a lovely first impression. We were exhausted after our red-eye flight and a dodgy taxi from the airport didn't help, but despite being dropped on the side of the road with vague directions to head down an alleyway, finally arriving the Cat...
