Functional hotel with comfortable beds and good hot showers....good location for exploring the city. Very helpful staff and clean presentable rooms. Buffet breakfast was ok though not substantial. Sadly no view to speak of with one very small window.

This hotel was ok. It was clean enough and was fine to spend a few nights, but probably wouldn't go back. When we checked out they tried to charge us for washing and water that we hadn't used however we just told them that we didn't use either of the services and they quickly figured out we didn't so was... We expected a high standard after experiencing another good hotel in HCMC earlier in our trip but considering what we paid this was a disappointing hotel. The room was very small and the both the room and bathroom need updating. The worst thing was that there was only a tiny window which you couldn't see out of or even raise... More

Great value for money. 3 of us stayed in a Family Room. Comfortable and clean. Everything a good hotel is. Yes, it is in a great location - District 1. Within walking distance to Parkson and Vincom Centre (for Mango Zara fans). And to Cho Ben Thanh market it is a comfortable 10-20min straight walk. We enjoyed out stay very... More

We stayed here four days in a row and were very happy. The breakfast buffet we did not get once as we ate outside and I am not a big fan of these types of breakfasts. The location is right next to some good eateries such as Pho 2000 (great cheap Beef pho 55dongs), Pizza Hut (much better than the... More

The Sophia hotel has been a pleasure to stay here. The staff are very professional and so helpful. The young man who I think is the manager (if he isn't he should be) has made our stay so easy. The location is central to everything in district 1 and has nice restaurants close by also an Aussie rules pub (... More

We stayed here for three nights when returning back to Sai gon from Mui ne. The hotel was very clean and simple. Breakfast was not so good. The location was OK took taxis to most everything we wanted to see as walking in the 45 degree temps and sunshine was too much for us to do often. We had to... More

i was suppose to be in another hotel but i was relocated there without too much explanation, it happens often in Viet Nam as they overbook their hotels. This hotel is well situated in the district one where the main action is and easy to walking distance. the staff are polite no more, their english is somewhat limited. The hotel doorman... More

Sophia Hotel is a very good value hotel, located centrally in Saigon. Decor is a mix of the orient and eastern Europe, just as Vietnam itself is, some travellers may find this offputting, but for me it added to the experience. It is very clean and efficient. The wifi works very well and is remarkably fast. Staff are very friendly... More
