A very nice hotel which is located in a great area in Ho Chi Minh City. It's clean, comfortable and affordable. Very friendly staff and very helpful with organising tours and transport. The breakfast was great with a lot of options to choose from every morning.

We got a back room with just a light well, not a real window so very dark, but really we spent so little time in there (because we went to see Vietnam not a hotel room!) it didn't matter. The advantage was it was very quiet at night. The drainage in the bathroom was erratic (shower and toilet) and we... More

The location is great and you can easily walk round district one from here. The rooms are clean and comfortable, we had a window in our room which just had a brick wall directly outside so don't expect much of a view. I just found the staff to be a little unwelcoming. Overall it's not bad at all but just... More

We booked a tour to the Mekong Delta through the front desk staff at the hotel and paid a premium price for a luxury tour that the hotel has brochures for at the reception. We were very disappointed with this tour as there were more people on it than the brochure stated and the ,inclusions such as lunch were of... More

Stayed for four nights. The location is excellent, you can easily walk to the main sights in district one. Friendly and efficient front desk staff, decent rooms with all required facilities. Breakfast was good, Asian and westerner food on offer.

My first time in Ho Chi Minh City and booked this hotel on line through the hotel. The hotel was clean and tidy, the staff were very helpful and friendly, complimentary breakfast was very nice. Best of all the location is fantastic. Just 2 blocks from the famous Dong Khoi street with lots of great places to eat and drink... More

Stayed at the Asian Ruby for the first tim in three years. If anything has got better, great value fro money, extremely helpful and pleasant staff. This hotel really cannot be faulted for what it is. Do just make sure you get a deluxe or higher grade room the others are on the side and therefore have very limited view... More

Booked this little gem at the last minute for 2 nights while we explored HCMC. We arrived in the morning, and had no issue with an early check-in. We were offered 3 different rooms...no window, window with view of wall, and window with view of city, all about 10 bucks apart. We were actually happy taking the no-view room, for... More

Stayed here towards the end of Feb 2015 as part of an 'Explore' tour. The hotel is excellently placed, in a quiet back street, but really close to Dong Khoi where all the places to eat are. Walking distance to Notre Dame and the Post Office (trust me, you need to see the Post Office!), and also close to the... More
