The Lavender Hotel is right next to the markets (day and night ones) and close to the Former Presidential palace, the Opera (some great shows) and good restaurants. The rooms are basic and slightly tired, but OK. The hotel has excellent friendly staff and free wifi. Stayed 2 nights immediately after flight from UK, so sleep was spasmodic. Noisy dog... More

Very basic room and a little dated but a comfortable and "safe feeling" hotel with very friendly staff. Breakfast could be better but it was ok. Good location right on top of the markets and busy location. With it being so hot we wished they had a pool but we were in the city after all! I would recommend staying... More

So we stayed at this hotel in early January for a night then returned for 3 more after going into the Mekong Delta. The hotel is next to the market for great local food etc. The staff are super nice and will make calls for you regarding airlines, etc. In addition, their breakfast spread was fantastic. We've already booked a... More

We had two separate 3D/2N stays here, broken up by an overnight trip to Can Tho. Our rating is combined across both stays. Generally speaking, very helpful and friendly service from all the staff - In particular, William, Leo and Jack - except for one check-in incident that marred our stay. We docked the rating due to that incident. Our... More

Stayed at this lovely hotel from 5 Jan to 8 Jan. Checking in and out was trouble free and because our flight times was changed on the day of checkout the hotel gave us a complimentary 2hours extra checkout time. We had 2meals there besides breakfast and have to say the standard of food was excellent. One evening we ate... More

We stayed at the end of Dec, over NYE. The hotel was lovely, excellent location. Plenty of staff with good levels of English. The rooms were very nice, bathroom had lots of toiletries and there was complimentary bottled water every day - handy for brushing teeth. Buffet breakfast was lovely and the choice of hot food changed daily. Only negatives... More

The Lavender Hotel is situdted in a great position. Just a short walk to the Markets, and good street food. However do not get any "laundry" from this hotel they are outrages with charges, I repeat again, no LAUNDRY. There is a street laundry 4 shops done the same street. My normal charges on all other hotels was about 120,000d... More

I booked a twin bed room via the website and had a confirmation but on arrival was not told that the room was actually a double bed. The receptionist seemed unable to understand the problem. After a time we were put in a more expensive room with an extra bed - thus solving the problem which of course should not... More

this hotel is good if you are going to be out of your room most of the day, otherwise go for something more up market! the rooms and comfortable but a bit small, its a hotel with no frills, but is good value if you just want a comfy bed! we stayed only one night as we were out exploring... More

We stayed her for 2 nights end of December. Hotel is very centrally located near market and lots of restaurants and sites. Staff was friendly. Room clean but bit small, smokey and had a fake window so we could not vent it nor was there any day light. Breakfast was ok but note they stop refilling well before end of... More
