Stayed at Giang Son 2 Guesthouse for two nights while in HCMC (only 3/4 doors down from the original Giang Son Guesthouse). Friendly staff, great location, clean rooms, comfortable beds and competitive pricing make this an excellent place to stay.

We found this to be in a great location down an alley way, quiet, the staff were really nice, breakfast included, we were staying as a family of 5 with a 2yr old & 7yr old who were totally fussed over. The rooms are small but very clean and comfortable, we spent 3 nights here. I would highly recommend to... More

We are a family of five and stayed in Giang Son 2, a few doors down the alley from Giang Son 1. Double room quite small but triple room for our three teenage sons very big and spacious. Great location too within easy walking distance of all the main sights. Recommend the Lonely Planet walking tour which starts in the... More

Our first night in Vietnam (we had booked before we came) based on lonely planet and trip advisor recommendations. The hotel offered airport collection which was very smooth although in reflection quite expensive ($15). On arrival the staff were lovely and the location was right in the middle of Pham Ngu Lao and easy walking distance to bars, restaurants and... More

Cheap, clean and good service. Nice little hotel. After a warm welcome they told us that there had been a mistake with the booking and we got a free upgrade to a 3-person suite. The next day we decided to stay another night but we had to switch to another room. No problem. Greetings Robin de Boer

First of all; the service is excellent, they are really friendly, helpful and show interest. They could get 5 stars for their service. Guesthouse is really clean; you have to take your shoes off in the lobby. Breakfast is nice/cute; you get what you need. At night the guesthouse is a little bit noisy, but it's in the middle of... title says it all. great location, friendly staff, worth every penny! a small disadvantaged of this guesthouse are the many stair you might have to clime if your room is at the 4th or 5th floor. so try to book i advance and ask for a room at one of the lower floors, since there is no elevator

The location of this place is amazing is hidden in an alley full of hotel right outside of everything, you can walk to the museum and Ben Thanh market but once you walk inside the alley the noise goes away and you can have a quiet sleep. Our room was very nice and the receptionist (I do not remember her... More

Really friendly and helpful staff, there are computers to use and located in the buzzing backpackers district. The staff booked a train for us without any problem and the place was clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was included and was simple but satisfying. Great place to stay when exploring HCMC.

We upgraded to the slightly more expensive room ($24) and it was clean, spacious, had good air-conditioning and a view over the street. The location is excellent, lots of food nearby, right in the backpackers hub. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The breakfast certainly didnt rock my world, but it did the job.
