I read a couple reviews saying it wasn't in an easy spot for sightseeing, this couldn't be further from the truth. It's out of the backpacker area which is great as there are some really great restaurants nearby that aren't priced towards foreigners and serve great authentic Vietnamese cuisine. We did have a little difficulty finding the hotel the first... More

I really do try to do my upmost to be as straight and honest as possible when I write my reviews on Trip Advisor and unless my own personal issues are in someway effected by the place itself or the staff when I visit somewhere, I do my upmost to provide candid and helpful advice, not decided on how I... Out of the main tourist area, but that's a plus (and close enough). It looks like a street on Google maps, but it's actually the first little alleyway parallel to the street. You walk down about six meters, turn left, and you'll see it. This was really a great place to stay. We asked for a quiet room, and they... More

Stayed here for 2 nights after being in District 1 for a few days, and had a great stay. This little hotel (actually a homestay) is in an alley of District 3 but still in walking distance (20ish minutes) of district 1 action. Theres not many restaurant and bar options nearby, so you will need to head to D1 for more... More

We have recently stayed here for 1 night by reading the reviews here. Pros: friendly staff Good selection of breakfast Quiet street ( but aircon was very noisy because of its age) Cons: it's not very handy to see the city I don't like how it's located in little alley. Bathroom set up was kinda weird, inside the toilet, no... More

This is a fantastic hotel. I chose it because it is very close to the train station. I had only 1 night booked but that night I got very sick (from food in Hanoi - NOT the hotel!) and ended up staying for another 3 nights! All the staff and the owner were incredible. I was by myself and they... More

We stayed at the Leblanc Saigon for 3 nights. The room was nice and clean. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Also it located in non touristy area. Sometimes that's just what you need. It's located in district 3. There local restaurants within walking distance. The breakfast is included and the coffee is superb :) I would stay here... More

We stayed at Le Blanc for 3 nights. The area it's located is less touristic The room we stayed in was pretty new. Basic interior with a new fridge and TV which included 2 HBO channels. The staff speaks English and are super friendly and helpful. All this for just 24 dollar a night. The only downside was the light in... More

The hotel is basic but clean and comfortable, with really friendly staff. The rooms are wider and the breakfast area much nicer than many of the hotels you can find in the packed alleys of Pham Ngu Lao. It's only a 20 minute walking distance from the Reunification Palace. Definitely a good deal.

We stayed in Ho Chi Minh City a couple of days in the beginning of the trip and the another few days at the end of it. First we stayed at District 1 and it was really really really touristic. That was not the experience we wanted, so we decided to go the District 3 instead and enjoyed the "peace... More
