We stayed here for our wedding anniversary and can't thank the hotel staff enough for their warm welcome and helpfulness throughout our stay. Michael was very helpful with great advice on where to eat and what to see (recommend the water puppet show). The hotel was very clean and well equipped, is in the Old Quarter and not far from... This was (bar one) the best hotel we stayed in whilst in Vietnam. The staff are very service oriented and happy to book tours (though we went with Vega in the end, bit cheaper and offered more variety). The breakfast was fantastic, the front desk staff who spoke English were amazing. Our only gripe was that put us into their... More

We stayed here at the very end of December and had a very nice experience. The hotel staff was very warm and friendly and always willing to help, from coordinating pickup from the airport to local transportation to recommendations and a local map for Hanoi. On the first day, we were having trouble accessing the wifi, so we asked the... More

The staff were more than helpful allowing us to store our luggage while we went to Sapa and then Halong Bay. They even let us have a shower when we arrived in the very early morning from Sapa and were heading straight to Halong Bay. Couldn't have asked for any more. Thank you so much for all your help, we... More

Highly recommend this hotel in the Old Quarter and about a 5 minute walk from the lake. The staff are amazing and couldn't help me enough with any questions I had. They helped a lot to confirm transfers and tours I had pre-booked and even let me in at 4am when my train from Sapa got in. The hotel is... More

This was a great introduction to Vietnamese hospitality. From the moment we arrived we were treated like honoured guests with a comfortable chair, refreshing cloth and delicious ginger tea. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. Rushing to open the door for us, calling a taxi, organising our baggage after a night away, etc. We enjoyed breakfast in the... More

I recently spent several nights at this hotel over the course of ten days and stayed in three different rooms during this time so can say that the rooms seem to all be of the same standard. Room 405 at the front of the hotel is particularly lovely as it has a small sitting room. The staff are very attentive... More

Finds a gem in the Old Quarter. We loved the Hanoi City Palace. We were traveling with our 3 kids ages 14, 11, & 8. We really wanted to stay near Hoan Kiem Lake & all in one room. It was hard to find a place that would accommodate our family. I emailed a bunch of hotels & the Hanoi... More

I stayed in the Hanoi CIty Palace Hotel for about six weeks on a business trip to Hanoi. It was a great place to stay for a reasonable price: warm family atmosphere, clean rooms, great breakfast, nice people at the reception, kitchen, housekeeping and management. Next time I am in Hanoi, I will definitely stay there again. Two thumbs up!!

Come via a tour and extended stay for $25 a night (twin). Had a room with sliding glass windows opening looking into a wall next door, but was not a problem except this view. The room was great with style, and very comfy beds. The free wifi and computer in room and water was a special bonus. When we arrived... More
