Intercontinental Hanoi Westlake is an outstanding hotel. The beds were very comfortable, the room had every ammenity you could possibly want. The location was peaceful. You need a taxi if you want to go anywhere, but there are always taxis waiting outside the hotel. Also, the doormen turns away any taxi company that's known to over-charge their customers. more

It is a very nice hotel, almost in the midle of the Westlake of Hanoi. It is just a little bit expensive, it is a 5 stars and it is not a hotel for cheap holidays. The swiming pool is awesome, the gym is awesome, and the restaurant it is not bad enough, but with a lot of occidental food.... more

The IC is located in a lovely and serene environment, and like other reviewers have mentioned, it is indeed a breath of fresh air from the noisy Old Quarter in Hanoi. Check-in/out was seamless, and the bellboy Thanh was friendly. I had a pool-facing room - nice and spacious, comfy bed, fantastic bathroom. Two gripes - no chairs in the... more

We had a lovely room with a lake view and balcony. It would have been nice if there was something on the balcony - a chair or two would have been really good. We had the club facilities which were well worth the extra money with a better breakfast and amazing canapes in the evening. The pool was great and... more

This was the nicest place I stayed on my month long tour through Vietnam. A friend and I paid nearly $275 for a Club Room. The hotel itself is absolutely perfect. The rooms are beautiful, decently sized, with wonderfully well appointed bathrooms. The hotel itself is built ON West Lake, rather than on the banks of West Lake. The pool,... more

I have thoroughly enjoyed my one night stay at this hotel. The standard is high compared to Vietnamese other hotels in Hanoi and HCMC. I was disappointed by the concierge as they seemed very generic in attending to requests. I loved the business lounge and though service is good overall. The hotel should consider including a spa as it's almost... more

Hit - Away from town. Great to get away from the honking after a day in town. Food is good, tranquail. Rooms face the lake. Peaceful. Miss - Service standards. The conceige was irritanted with me asking for directions, whilst she seems alright with caucasian guests. A bell hop was visitably irritated when I asked when the taxi will arrive...... more

My wife and I spent a few days here in April and were immediately taken by the level of hospitality displayed by the staff from the doorman to the Chefs in the restaurants. The room was impeccably clean and large with a nice welcome confection tray consisting fruit and macaroons. The rooms have huge cast iron tubs which my wife... more

My husband and I spent 10 days at the Hanoi Westlake property and we would highly recommend to anyone travelling to Hanoi. From the hotel manager to housekeeping, the staff was friendly and on top of every request that we had. We booked a westlake suite that had both lake and city views. The room was outstanding with the living... more

After my terrible experience at Sofitel Plaza Hanoi, I had decided to stay in this hotel. Built on Westlake, this property is a real 5 stars. Rooms are big enough to accommodate 2 persons with nice views on the swimming pool or the lake, dark wood furniture, LCD TV screen with a large choice of international channels, huge bathroom with... more
