Paid $22 for a single room. AC, TV, fridg, computer, shower and tub. Room was clean and well lit, quiet in the morning. I stayed at another hotel in Hanoi three weeks ago, paid twice as much, and did not enjoy the experience at all. I really could not find any faults with this hotel. Reading the reviews of other... more

Not the best place to stay. The location is perfect. The rooms are not very clean and the staff, well, the don't know yet hospitality is the most important part of the job. Breakfast is poor, dirty and fruitflies everwhere. For this rate you can find much better places! more

I stayed one night and was charged USD25 for a single room which according to the reviews, is about mid-range for this type of hotel. The room had an airconditioner, (free to use) deskstop computer, welcome fruits, and an attached bathroom (but no lifts to get there). The staff seemed to be trained to be cheerful and friendly (it didn't... more

Was a pleasnt stay, nothing too fancy but he room was clean - staff somewhat helpful, not overly friendly or helpful but better then other hotels we stayed at. Room had an ok bathroom and fast internet. Pretty decent value, noisy due to it's location. Would recommend but as I understand sunshine 1 then 2 are better then 3. more

We stayed here for only one night as our Sapa stay was curtailed. It was perfectly fine, but there was a wide range of room types, from luxurious to windowless. I suggest arriving early as the nicer rooms get taken first. more

Found this hotel in Hanoi's old quarter when I arrived in Hanoi. Rooms are very cheap (you have to negotiate), but unfortunately the only room left was at the ground level (half basement), so no windows. I suspect there had been floods in that room before (strange smell), but the good part is it was rather cool because of the... more

We paid $22 per night for a very comfortable room with computer, fridge, TV etc., buffet breakfast incl. The hotel is centrally located and our room was quiet and clean. Did not experience any of the problems others report. Also recommend 69 Bar-restaurant almost next door. more

We stayed here for four nights either side of a 3 day / 2 night trip to Halong Bay. $22 including tax and breakfast. Room 312 at least is bright, clean, modern and has an interet connection - which Im using right now. Has a TV and a good powerful hot shower. Laundry is $1 per kg. We moved here... more

We were unfortunately moved from Sunshine 2 to Sunshine 3 when we extended our stay in Hanoi. We were told don't worry, Sunshine 3 would be better. It wasn't. Not by a long way. No lift. Had to carry bags up 3 flights of stairs. Dirty, mouldy room. In-room computer didn't work. Gloomy lighting, so no reading. Staff did not... more
