Construction work starting at 7am stops and starts through to 7pm. It's not just banging and bumping. It is so loud that it sounds like someone is drilling into your head!! The staff speak barely any English. Not worth $20 USD a night. My rooms door didn't lock. Lights didn't work and there are no real windows. By far the... More

We first got a small room with a glass bathroom wall, which made you feel like a fish in a fishtank when showering. In the evening they called us and offered us a bigger room with a proper closed off bathroom. The room is clean and spacious. The staff friendly. At 7 am they started construction work and it was... This hotel was well below average, it has a rotten stench both in the lobby and in the room to the extent that we opened the windows, door and ran the bathroom's exhaust fan for several hours but still had to buy an air freshener, which only lessened the smell. There were also termites all throughout the bathroom with mud... More

This hotel is fairly average for the price of $25 per night. It has a small reception area where wifi is available ( although you can't get a signal in your room). The rooms vary massively, some are quite nice, some aren't. We were travelling in a group of 6 with 3 rooms. Some have no windows some do. Our room... More

The staff were really lovely - we arrived off the overnight train from Lao Cai, one of our group was quite ill, and even though the rooms were not ready they allowed her to stay in the room before it was cleaned, and the cleaning lady checked on her and made sure she was okay afterwards. The location is really... More

I stayted at Pan Hotel some months ago. I felt very comfortble and convenient here because it is very near the centre where I can go easily to city's sightseeings such as Hoan Kiem Lake, The Huc Bridge, the temple of Literature, Thang long Imperial Citadel and so on. Besides, I were pleasure about the hotel services, staffs and especially... More

We stayed one night in Nov 2007 at 21US$ plus 10% VAT, booked directly with them without providing credit card details. The artificial timber floor was nice and new. They had a big steel frame in black color to decorate the wall. The mirror at bed head, furniture, lamps (very bright to read at night) and flower vase are cute.... More
