Although we'd pre-booked and paid for our room at this hotel via our UK agent we arrived to find no room available for us. Seems to be a theme in Vietnam as this was our second location without being able to stay in the hotel we'd booked. They really do need to sort out the booking system. Alternative hotel we... More

We asked for a tourist class city centre hotel that was clean comfortable and well located. That is what we got. Our room was spacious ,comfy and cool. Breakfast was not great. Omelettes were spot on, nothing else was up to much, but I am fussy ! Happy to recommend

This being our second trip to Hanoi we decided to stay at the Anise Hotel again after being more than satisfied with our previous visit. We were not disappointed with our stay this time also. The rooms are spotlessly cleaned and maintained with comfortable beds and we were able to get a good nights sleep away from the frantic hustle... More

First impressions - from the street - might put you off, but this hotel is in a good location: close to the Night Market and Old Quarter, and easy walking distance to Lakes, National Museum, key Pagodas, central prison museum etc. Our room, at the back of the hotel, was comfortable and clean - bath/shower, a/c, TV, fridge, kettle and... Needed an overnight hotel on a lay over from Beijing to Phu Quoc Island the next day. Clean room, spacious, with all in good working order. Lots of hot water, quick internet service, and very friendly front desk staff. Ate dinner on the 11th floor--very good service, pleasant staff, the food was very good--had vegetarian spring rolls, western sandwiches, all... More

Stayed here 3 nights as part of our 2 week visit to Vietnam. Situated in the old part of Hanoi, good for exploring, nightmare to cross roads and a lot of vehicle pollution. Had no hot water on day of arrival, advised reception who noted and duly went to fix the problem . Not the case and next morning still... More

Nothing extravagant but as good, if not better than any mid range hotel I've ever stayed in, in the middle of a big major city. This is a decent hotel, located on the edge of the old quarter. It offers a much needed respite from the madness of Hanoi. The staff are friendly, the rooms are very clean and the... More

Right on the edge of the old town so perfect for walking to and exploring the maze of busy streets. Small and friendly with helpful service. A rather dull and impersonal reception belies lovely bedrooms with smart decor and unusual bathroom windows looking out over the street! Good breakfast room with great views of the city. All in all a... More

We had 3 x 1 night stays at this hotel over a period of about 10 days as we used Hanoi as our base in Vietnam. This meant we stayed in 3 different rooms in the hotel. We had read lots of reviews of this hotel on tripadvisor prior to booking and lots had said it was basic so we... More

Our room was the main suite in the hotel on the top floor which is the main profile picture for the hotel. It was fantastic! The hotel is reasonably central and an easy walk to the markets and the water puppets. The concierge was very helpful in getting us tickets for this and providing us with maps and directions. Reception... More
