anise hotel hanoi has very good staff with good english. we are from australia and had no problem with their english. the room was clean and exactly as advertised. the electrical installation was relatively new, with normal circuit breakers and switchboards. this hotel actually has fire stairs and smoke alarms, which we found lacking in other hotels in vietnam. the... more

We used this hotel as a base in whilst staying in Hanoi We stayed for a total of three nights split over two occasions and were also provided with a room for a part day before traveling to Sapa. Each time we returned, either from a short trip or more importantly having been away for one or more days we... more

We stayed at the Anise Hotel with a large group of friends last week. The hotel was as we've expected - great service, nice rooms and very helpful staff. Rooms were just like the photos as per the hotel's website. The only downside was the location. It was a 5-10 min walk to the old quarter which was an inconvenience... more

Very well maintained hotel in a very central position, close to Ho Chi Minh memorials and the old quarter. Surprisingly quiet rooms (good double glazing!) 11th floor restaurant with excellent views of the city - great breakfasts too! Reception staff very friendly and efficient too - a very good base for a visit to Hanoi. more

We stayed at the Anise Hotel for one night after a transatlantic flight. That's just the place you want to stay at: close to the Hoan Kiem lake, but in a calm side street. The rooms are not spacious, but new and very clean. And the breakfast buffet leaves no wishes open. If you decide to stay at the Anise,... more

Great location - only a 15min walk from the lake. Room was nice and tidy. Beds comfortable. Suprised with the Flat screen TV. After Hanoi, we travelled to Sapa and stayed there for 3 days. Anise looked after one of our suitcases, which we had decided not to take to Sapa. When we returned to Hanoi (at 5am) Anise allowed... more

The Anise is in a great location and close to the old quarter. My room was spacious, very comfortable and clean. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great and was served on the 11th floor giving you a view over Hanoi. I found a wonderful restaurant by turning right as you leave the hotel and walking about... more

My friend and I stayed at the Anise from Feb. 10 - 18th. The location is great! Close to the Old Quarter and walking distance to the lake. The staff was friendly and helpful especially about getting us taxis when we wanted to go to places outside the walking area i.e. the Ethnology Museum. The breakfast was more than adequate... more
