This hotel was THE worst I've ever had to stay at and the staff was simply HORRIBLE. First of all I arrived there around 10pm and BEFORE I even had a chance to hand them my reservation from agoda- the man told me that they thought I had cancelled it. He never checked it on the computer and didn't answer... More

I stayed there for 3 nights during August 2014. Hotel is pretty standard but excellent on budget. Very close to the markets and the hanoi gate. I strongly recommend to do transactions in cash ( ****cash talks in Vietnam ******). Avoid credit cards as there were issues for me!!!!

Nice staff! Hotel changed name from senses to Hanoi gate hotel. Enjoyed my stay. Air-con works well, they provide a fan in the room too along with a TV and a small refrigerator. Bathroom is ok. No issues with this place. Other people that complain have obviously not been in Asia long. Budget hotels are just that! Budget. Don't expect... More

Awesome hotel for backpackers or budget travelers. Rooms are clean and not cramped. The staff were helpful and friendly, speaking a good level of English helped a lot. The breakfast left room for improvement but for the price you pay for accommodation and breakfast included I cant fault them. I will definitely be back when I return to Hanoi.

Even though we were not booked to stay here at the Sense Hotel for another few days the staff at the hotel allowed us to store our heavy backpacks for 2 nights while we went to Sapa which was several hundred kms away. The hotel did not charge us any extra fee or even ask for a tip, they were... More

I will preface this review by saying that the hotel staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. This improved our stay somewhat. However, upon checking into the room we noticed it was very dirty. This included blood on the floor and the sheets of the bed. Further, the bathroom and the rest of the room were disgusting, as if they had... More

Stayed 2 nights with my family in late December. The location is great and the staff very nice and helpful. The bathroom in my room stank and even though I was moved to a different room the next day, the bathroom still stank. Also, no bathroom curtains. My parents asked for extra blankets as their room was on the top... More

This hotel is a great hotel, situated in the middle of Hanoi center and within walking distance of many places to visit and eat. My room was perfect, exactly what I was expecting and I was well looked after by staff. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a reasonably priced room for a couple of nights in... More

Excellent hotel. From the moment you walk in you are treated with great care and respect. The staff are helpful, friendly, speak good English and are always smiling! The room was well sized, clean and had all I needed for my short stay. It is located in the middle of the "touristy" area (old quarter) and is within walking distance... More

I have stayed at this hotel several time whilst touring around Vietnam and have nothing but good things to say about it. A wonderful location in the heart of the old quarter. The rooms are clean and the best are comfortable but the jewel in the crown is the exceptional staff. Always quick to help, thier big smiles brighten any... More
