The hotel was nice to stay in since it was away from the noisy areas of Hanoi. The staff was friendly but we would have had a nicer stay if they had helped us with directions and recommended places to visit. We wanted to rent bicycles on the first day but the tires on one bicycle were flat. We were... More

Worse experience. Stayed in this hotel for one night by myself and rocked up to joy journey hotel with a prebooking only to be told that that have been overbooked and needed to stay me in another hotel. I was brought to their other hotel - Hanoi downtown hotel where I had to stay on the top floor and climb... More

The staff are really friendly, and the coffee is good. We stayed on the top floor, and the room was a good size and quiet, but the door didn't really have a conventional lock. There was a "locker" and a safe, though, so it wasn't an insurmountable issue. We had asked for a lower floor, but ended up at the... More

We arrived into Hanoi from an overnight bus at 8am we arrived at the hotel and we're told our room was ready but if we wanted it before 1pm we'd have to pay 50% more. I understand there are check in times but this has been so out of standard with all other hotel/guesthouses we've stayed in Vietnam, as we... More

We started here for 3 months during our volunteer stint. The location is excellent, far enough away from the noise of "bar street" but close enough to walk everywhere in the Old Quarter in about 10mins. A great selections of restaurants and street food, shop if you do t want to go further than across the street. The owner Mrs Giang... More

This is a great hotel in the best part of town. There are literally hundreds of fantastic restaurants and bars right on its doorstep in the brilliant Old Quarter. I would highly recommend this hotel to first time visitors to Hanoi as it'll give a great insight into the city.

Staff are friendly, detail-minded during the stay in hotel and very helpul to show me how can I get the bus to Hanoi Int'l Airport on the date of leaving. All that make the trip amazing and unforgettable. Good location and Good value of money. Absolutely right choice and Highly recommended to travelers.

I had a very enjoyable stay here for two weeks. The staff are friendly and very helpful, including putting me in touch with a good doctor when I fell ill. The room was simple, clean and not too noisy despite being nestled in the bustle of Old Quarter. I was on the top floor, so a bit of a hike... More

Having read the other reviews of this hotel, I am not surprised to see that a lot of people had the same experience as us. We booked in for one night prior to going to Halong Bay for a night and had booked two nights when we arrived back - when we arrived back we were told by the very... More
