We started here for 3 months during our volunteer stint. The location is excellent, far enough away from the noise of "bar street" but close enough to walk everywhere in the Old Quarter in about 10mins. A great selections of restaurants and street food, shop if you do t want to go further than across the street. The owner Mrs Giang... More

This is a great hotel in the best part of town. There are literally hundreds of fantastic restaurants and bars right on its doorstep in the brilliant Old Quarter. I would highly recommend this hotel to first time visitors to Hanoi as it'll give a great insight into the city.

Staff are friendly, detail-minded during the stay in hotel and very helpul to show me how can I get the bus to Hanoi Int'l Airport on the date of leaving. I had a very enjoyable stay here for two weeks. The staff are friendly and very helpful, including putting me in touch with a good doctor when I fell ill. The room was simple, clean and not too noisy despite being nestled in the bustle of Old Quarter. I was on the top floor, so a bit of a hike... More

Having read the other reviews of this hotel, I am not surprised to see that a lot of people had the same experience as us. We booked in for one night prior to going to Halong Bay for a night and had booked two nights when we arrived back - when we arrived back we were told by the very... More

I had a couple of week in Hanoi, the Joy Journey was perfect, great location, quiet street at night, easy walking. I had a room on the front of hotel good window to open at night (bars on it) and nice little balcony to step out on. The staff at the hotel were great and I felt right at home.... More

Wonderfully clean rooms, comfortable beds, great amenities, very friendly and helpful staff who helped us with our train tickets.... You just can't beat the price for this kind of value. We were so happy with our stay, we rebooked and stayed here on our return journey. Can't say enough good things about this hotel. Truly a bargain.

This is a well presented hotel in a great location and with friendly helpful staff. The large rooms are simple but clean and have fridges, tv, baths, wifi, ac and warm blankets (it's cold in Hanoi!). There is no lift though. The coffee they serve downstairs is great and there are great food options within a one minute walk. Have... More

I've stayed here 4 or 5 times now. It's the best value hotel I've stayed anywhere in Vietnam. Good location and the rooms are always very clean and well presented, with some basics like toiletries and a mini bar - which at this price point is rare. The only downside is all the aircons I've seen are noisy, but Hanoi... More

We stayed here for our whole stay in Hanoi. The hotel was basic but clean and comfortable and good value for money. The staff and manageress were very friendly and helpful, even helping us track our luggage down after Emirates forgot to put it on the plane in Dubai. We were also able to arrange a late airport pick up... More
