If you want a budget hotel that is clean, cool, provides free internet and hands you the key when you walk through the door and not much else then this is an excellent place to stay. I did not try the breakfast since I prefer to eat Pho on the street and there is an excellent option just along the... More

I walked into Sunny Hotel after a trip to Ha Long Bay and inquired about a room. They gave me a price, but I bargained them down. For the price, the hotel was just fine. My room had two twin beds, a TV, working air AND a fan. There was ample room as even with an armoire, two chairs and... More

I do NOT recommend anybody staying at this hotel. They are robbers. They charged me a lot more than the price they put on the invoice. I had a long argument with the hotel manager and showed him the invoice. But he cared less about the invoice. He told me they made an error in the invoice. Finally I gave... More

Have just returned from a holiday to Vietnam. Enjoyed most of our trip in this mainly beautiful country but, sadly not our stay at the Sunny Hotel. We KNEW it was inexpensive and KNEW we could not expect 5 star for the amount we paid but this hotel needs to be demolished. The staff were fairly friendly and helpful but... More

We emailed Sunny hotel straight away from the airport with... More

They were overbooked. We stayed in Sunny the first night. They sent us to another hotel the second night, then sent us back to Sunny the following nights. It was a total mess. If you like to deal with troubles, go ahead and book this hotel. Otherwise, I suggest you find another hotel.

Dirty and Loud ! Carpets in halls and rooms were stained. Rooms and lobby reeked of mold and mildew. Beds were very old and uncomfortable. Windows were covered with dirt. Elevators were slow and loud, you could hear the service elevator like it was in the room. Street noise was unbearable from the 8th floor with the window closed. We... More

The Sunny was booked by a local travel agent as 4 and 5 star accomodation was in very short supply as it had been just about all booked out by the Vietnamese Govt due to the staging of the APEC conference. Sunny is a 3 star and was clean ,tidy and the rooms were OK. We had a couple of... More
