The hotel rooms and breakfast was ok. I don't know how it compared to other hotels as I didn't visit any. We did though stay in a hotel in Ho Chi Minh for cheaper and the hotel was much better even and it was only a 2 star. We were changed from our original room which had stained carpets to... more

We did have a deluxe room. Room and bathroom good albeit virually no views. Plenty of light once one opened up curtains obscuring scuffy outside. Breakfast very average and restaurant staff very average. Only had breakfast in hotel. Opposite local market and just a fascinating area to stay in. To ensure quiet room CHECK room first! more

I recently stayed at Hoabinh Palace Hotel. A nice and clean, and friendly hotel in Hanoi, Vietnam. The room was well kept, fruit and water were provided complimentary each day, and there was free wi-fi, and PC’s down stairs. The hotel is central to everything that you would want to do and see around Hanoi, and there is a lonely... more

I recently spent 2 weeks in the Hoabinh Palace Hotel, in the very heart of the Old City in Hanoi. I was there with a group of Global Volunteers teaching conversational English at the University and a High School. The hotel embraced our group, made us feel that we were at home, and took care of our requests and needs... more

We stayed one night at the Hoa Binh Palace and wished we could have stayed more. The hotel is right across the street from a daily market and in the middle of all the action in Hanoi. While this is not a Western 5 star hotel, the staff was very friendly and helpful and the price was reasonable compared to... more

We stayed in rooms on the 6th and 7th floors on two occasions. I don't know if rooms vary by floor. Our rooms were relatively small but clean and well-equipped (WiFi, flat screen TV, safe, AC, clock, fruit) with comfortable beds. There was always a pleasant, helpful, English-speaking person on the front desk. The staff was friendly, helpful responsive, and... more

I visited Hanoi with a volunteer group in September and November 2008 and each time we stayed at this hotel. I am surprised by the negative comments. I am from New York City and have traveled to 17 countries. So I know a bit about hotels. First off, ALL hotel rooms in Hanoi are small. It is Viet Nam, not... more

The mattress in our room should be put on a bonfire!! It was full of lumps and springs sticking out, absolutely disgraceful even by Asia standard beds. Room had terrible smell when we arrived but seemed to get bit better, or we got used to it. Location is great, able to walk to most everywhere. Manager is lovely and most... more

HOABINH PALACE HANOI LOCATION LOCATION It’s NOT a “Palace” ,but it is a decent, clean ,very friendly ,mid –range hotel. The location is the most convenient in Hanoi .You can walk to the puppet theatre ,Hoan Kiem lake ,good restaurants or the main Post office ,all in less than ten minutes. The rooms aren’t huge but the air /con works... more

Right in the middle of Old Town, it is a good location to explore the area. A street market is on the street directly perpendicular to the hotel entrance. It is also noisy with the constant honking and traffic. Room was basic and small, the smell musty, and the carpet very soiled. Breakfast buffet is adequate. Not a great value... more
