Well located in the old market area of Hanoi. This is an idea location for just wandering the streets (take a good map though, they all look the same).
The customer service was excellent - best i've ever experienced.

We stayed at the Hanoi guest house on Bat Su on three separate occasions. The staff were fantastic. They looked after us very well. Double breakfasts if we wanted it. Coffee and tea. They let us in at 4.50am when we first arrived, and found some beds for us. They also organised all our travel up to Sapa and down...

We stayed in their new location on Ma May Street which is excellently located. The rooms were good for the price (302 was good, 305 excellent). Breakfast is more than ample. All is clean.
What sets this place apart is the service that Ms Chau and the team provide. I have stayed in many 4 & 5 star hotels and...

It is located conveniently within walking distance of the Ho Chi Minh Museum/Mausoleum complex, the Vietnamese Women's Museum, Hoan Kiem Lake, Hoa Lo Prison, and Thang Long Water Puppet Theatre. Some of my favorite meals during...

Since we started our Vietnam trip in Hanoi, I was looking for a hotel with helpful staff that could help us out with finding our way in a new country. Because there were many enthusiastic reviews we opted for Hanoi Guesthouse. We were not disappointed. They simply have the friendliest hotel staff I have ever encountered anywhere (and we have...

My girlfriend and I stayed at this Guesthouse when it was tucked away in Bat Su Street Dec 2010. It’s good to see that in a year, they’ve upgraded their location to Ma May street (a more vibrant street of the Quarter) and décor without losing an ounce of the great, warm and friendly customer service they provided during our...

We sincerely recommend this hotel for anyone going to Hanoi! It's well situated in the middle of the old town, it's very clean and neat and the upper rooms (at least the ones facing the backyard) have an awesome view over the city. But the best part with this hotel is the staff who are really friendly and helpful! They...
