After some wild partying in Vietnam I wanted to relax at the Boa Son hotel. The room was clean decent size and the television was good. I got a room at the end of the building near house keeping. The house keeping was loud and the Internet not so good. The pool was big but dirty and terrible maintained. the... More

The smell of insecticide smacks you in the nostrils as you enter the lobby. Too bad it's not enough to deal with the bug problem on the 8th floor. And that's just the beginning of the problems with this hotel in an outlying business district of Hanoi. While it's good to skip the crazy Hanoi traffic to be close to... More

This is a run-down hotel that has many issues beyond its simple appearance. One of our room's beds turned out to be two box springs on top of one another. As we were sharing the room the semi-transparent 'frosted' pane of glass that divided the shower area of the bathroom and the main room proved to be awkward. Judging by... More

Stayed 3 nights at Bao Son Hotel when in town recently for a conference. The hotel is located on a busy street with lots of traffic and some shops/restaurants/cafes, but the neighborhood is more local in that very little caters to visitors. The hotel itself is comfortable and surprisingly clean. My room reminded me of an older 3-4 star hotel... More

This hotel is just average. It's location is not really close to any important landmark in particular, at least any that matter to me. Morning breakfast buffet is alright. The rooms, clean but nothing great or fancy. There is an interesting curio shop at the lobby. Wifi is bearable. In a separate building is supposed to be a pool. It... More

I spent a few days in the Bao Son hotel attending a meeting there in December 2012. The breakfast was fine and the other meals prepared for all of us attending the meeting were also fine without being really special. And the room was OK - a very standard business hotel room. The internet connection was fine in my room... More

I was transferred to this hotel when the original one I was staying had full bookings on the remainder of the days I was supposed to be in. This is normal in Viet Nam. The hotel by itself is okay. The receptionists know how to speak english and they answered all my questions. Internet was fairly fast and the room... More

Stay here if you are on a busy schedule and just need a place to sleep. Break fast spread is more asian and is just Basic. Lifts look risky but since it cannot be avoided just accepted. Has a decent pool - rooms are functional with occasional failures in the plumbing. Staff are friendly and the rooms are clean.
