Its a nice hotel. Clean, organized, with well behaved and efficient staff. Its just a kilometre or so away from the Old Quarters. Its Lobby is not very attractive but the rooms are very spacious, clean and comfortable. Nice wash-rooms. Overall a good place to stay at Hanoi.

Apparently there was an "old" Army Hotel (see other reviews). However, this one is brand new. The rooms are huge, the staff was helpful and cordial. Our company booked an event in the banquet hall, thus my room was arranged here as well. The hall was very nice, the sound system was top notch. The pool looked great, but I... More

Army Hotel is a dreary place in a dark lane away from the least interesting end of Hoan Kiem lake in Hanoi's otherwise charming city center. My room had a dark brown 1960s decor, with a carpet you don't want to touch with you naked feet, age old furniture, a heavily drapped curtain. The reakfast room was windowless, with an... More

This hotel was booked by my company so we came to this hotel without knowing what to expect, but only thing we knew was that this hotel was not that expensive. A mid-range hotel. We were in a suite room, which was indeed huge - probably even unnecessarily huge - with Vietnamese local furniture. Typical local style room. Just extend... More

Our main motivation for booking this hotel was the swimming pool. We arrived without having great expectations and the experience was fine. We booked a suite so we had lots of space and while the room’s décor are a little out date, everything was clean and functioning. It was very quiet and we had a balcony with a view of... More

Nice clean hotel and friendly staff. Room on the 3rd floor with two bedrooms was comfortable. One bed had a thin mattress but the other bed was ok. Facilities are good and clean. Pool is well maintained but the gym is pretty sad. Breakfast is better had elsewhere. Stayed two weeks for business and found it well located with the... More

The absolutely best attraction here is the pool. It is large enough to swim laps. Also, breakfast was great, with pho a mainstay. The rooms were quite sterile and cold feeling, but I found them to be clean. Fairly noisy with neighbors in the back quite loud and army traffic very close. About two block away is the Hilton, which... More

We came to the hotel just for using the pool. There were sunbeds around the quite large and deep pool. A great place to relax and swim in Hanoi. We paid 90000 vietnamise dong to get in. Remember to bring your own towel! Possible to order food by the pool.

Imagine: your tourcompany has booked this hotel for you. One km away from the lively Hanoi scene at the end of a dead street. 50 m from army barracs and with two hores just 20 m from the entrance. You paid in advance about 60 UsD. The receptionist sees you coming but is talking in the telephone. She gives you... More
