Very nice hotel. A bit old-fashioned style, but in very good condution. Location is ok - very close to the Hoan Kiem lake and market streets. My room was big enough containing 2 armhairs and a little coffee-table, chair, a desk, dressing table with a mirror, big wardrobe, electric kettle, TV and huge bed. Bed was hard (but I like... More

Located near the lake Hoan Kiem in Ha Noi. The building was constructed in early 1900s and recently renovated. It has high ceiling at each floor and a spiral staircase at the center. Breakfast includes Vietnamese (and Asian, this is ver nice!) and continental styles. Jogging to the lake Hoan Kiem is good in the morning. It is a bit... More

Hotel was at a really great location. Walking distance to all the main areas. Room was clean overall. But the inner blanket was full of gross stains. We try to overlook it as we had the blanket cover. Breakfast was not acceptable. The pho was overloaded with msg, cereal wasn't fresh, coffee was lukewarm. They managed to get the boiled... More

The hoa Bin is not ideally located if you want to do street shopping or eat street food but it is much quieter at night than hotels in the old quarter. In it's day this hotel would have been something special but now it's like an aging screen actress you can see where the beauty was but now it's just... More

yummy breakfast ! yummy breakfast !yummy breakfast ! Sure its probably included in the price of the room.. but what a great way to wake up, and wander down the stairs ( without tripping ) to freshly cooked omlets, bacon and tomatoes... AND very delicious fresh fruit, coffee and tea.. and wait for it ....... As much as you can... More

Run down and neglected to the level of being repulsive. Examples: Mold on shower curtain, rust on every metal piece in the bathroom, improvised electric connection of the hair drier, improvised A/C instalation including a hole in the ceiling, A/C too weak to cool the room during the day, no A/C in public areas and more.

I stayed in a superior room at Hoa Binh and found it totally clean with good value. Unfortunately I did not book through any of the cheap websites and ended up paying $60 per night inclusive. At the Agoda price of $35 or $40 it would be an excellent value. The hotel is just a few blocks from the lake... More

Stayed in this hotel for 5 nights. Upon arrival I was greeted by their friendly staff. The room I stayed in was clean and spacious. The food served during breakfast was OK. Overall, I had a nice stay in this hotel. Would definitely stay in this hotel again when I go back to Hanoi.

Hoa Binh is good value for money. The rooms are clean, as are the bathrooms. The staff are friendly and helpful. We turned up & realised we had booked for march instead of February!! But they were very quick to help us out & find us a room. They don't try to sell their own tours, or push specific tailors... More

This hotel has a great location and friendly staff. Breakfast with good variety and the old style building atmosphere make this a very pleasant and good value hotel. The staff try to make guests comfortable and everything works well. Just outside in the same building is an upscale coffee shop and a night club. There are many restaurants in the... More
