De Syloia Hotel was the first experience of Vietnamese hospitality for our family of four on our big Asian vacation experience. The consistently friendly, helpful and respectful staff created a lasting good impression, and whatever we got up to during the day or the evening, it was always a pleasure to return to the hotel. We always received sound advice... More

Some boutique hotels have lots of style, which you pay dearly for, and offer little by the way of functionality for a business traveller (while many business hotels lack character and style). De Syloia is quaint and a reasonably small operation. Rooms are reasonable sized and comfortable, amenities are of good quality, wifi is ever present and free, fresh fruit... More

The rooms are clean and spacious and the staff are very helpful. The breakfast could be improved and the wifi in the hotel is very weak. I'd suggest this hotel if you are only in Hanoi for a few days, otherwise an extended stay can be challenging for Westerners. The hotel has charm though

I really could not fault the hotel. Friendly reception and door staff. Nice room and spacious bathroom (with a bath), crisp white sheets, excellent varied breakfast (including Pho - you should try it at least once), morning newspaper and more or less everything you would get in a 4 star for much less and much more in being treated like... Will definitely go back to this hotel. Food is good (big servings though), staff very courteous and helpful and location is perfect. It's within a short walking distance from important landmarks and offices in Hanoi.

The location, facilities, food, service and staff were all great. And very affordable. It behaves like a 5star hotel but much more affordable. It is within walking distance to the main offices and interesting places in Hanoi. The staff are very helpful in giving tips on how to go around the area. Definitely will stay there again when I come... More

This is a wonderful boutique hotel for business. The ammenities are sufficient, room is spacious and I had a room with double windows so the sounds of the traffic were down to a minimum. The restaurant serves a fantastic lunch.

Whenever I have limited budget for accomodation for my business trip, I stay this hotel in Hanoi. Because rooms are specious, breakfast is not so grand but normally delicious, Internet access free, and mostly well trained long time working freindly staffs and managers welcome and support you as much as possible. There is a small business center and a meeting... More

Booked on-line, including pick-up from airport which was a very good move. Great location in French Quarter, walking distance or cheap taxi ride to Hoan Kiem Lake, Old Quarter and other tourist essentials. Hanoi train station at other end of street. Hotel, clean, comfortable, restaurant a must for at least one dinner. Staff informative about local services such as dressmaker... More

Stayed here almost a week for a business trip. Found the rooms spacious, with good, comfortable bed, clean bathroom where all functioned well. Though you can see things are not quite new anymore, they are well-maintained. Free bottles of water, free fruit every day help make it a good experience. Staff at the reception desk were helpful and friendly. The... More
