A huge tower block hotel in the French Quarter the Melia is in a good location. Due to the size of the building it is easy to spot from some way away so you can't miss it if you are lost. It is close to shops, restaurants and other hotels, the central railway station and various embassies as well as... More

The Melia Hanoi has an impressive reception area and the overall 'look' from outside is that this is an impressive hotel. Now we could have been unlucky, but the lifts operate off the room key and whilst in theory this is good, in practise, its incredibly temperamental and irritating when it doesn't work every time. The hotel is well situated... More

We stayed here for 3 nights as part of a tour of Vietnam and Cambodia. The staff are extremely courteous and helpful - particularly on Reception - and the hotel is modern, airy and in a good position related to the centre of Hanoi. The included breakfast did not 'blow us away' but it was varied and beautifully laid out... More

The Melia has been our go to hotel when we want to treat ourselves. The staff are always helpful and gracious, the rooms clean and comfortable and the food pretty darn good. We headed to Hanoi in early April looking for a much needed break and some R&R. When we checked into the Melia at 8:30 am we were easily... More

I stayed here for three nights. I arrived late in the evening after 24 straight hours of flying/travelling and was checked in quickly. The room was comfortable and the spacious bathroom had a nice selection of toiletries, a good hairdryer as well as two complimentary bottles of water. There’s a safe, a stocked bar fridge and a kettle hiding in... More

Staying here for a week in April 2015. The hotel is updated, clean & most importantly the staff are helpful & courteous. Although my Vietnamese language skills are poor, the staff's use of English was impeccable. As many have stated the restaurant is outstanding & I especially enjoy the wide ranging & high quality breakfast buffet. Lunch is the just... More

Spent a few days at this hotel. Overall, very comfortable, clean and friendly. Had the buffet breakfast three days; very good with a large selection of food. All very fresh and tasty. The room was very nice with a good view. Location is excellent, close to Trang Tien Plaza for shopping and a comfortable walk to the lake. Walked around... More

Stayed here May 2015. Fantastic room, in refurbished section (8th floor). Spacious, well presented with fantastic bed and great shower. Intuitive lighting operation and design. TV with lots of channels in many languages. Power points were all multi adapters, so international travellers are catered for with their own appliance plugs. Good aircon with easy to use controller. Very comfortable room... More

This is a very comfortable hotel. Everything works well and the breakfast buffet was excellent. The room was large and well equipped - though I did find the window between the bedroom and the bathroom (which could be covered with a blind) a bit disconcerting. The staff were helpful. My only quibble is that when we walked out in the... More

This hotel was beautiful and very updated. The restaurants were good and location was perfect for us since we were only in town for 24 hours and wanted to see "Hanoi Hilton" which was only a few blocks away. Very good customer service when we wanted to know about the city and things to do as well as organizing transportation... More
