“"Okay to stay"”

Stayed at the Nikko Hanoi for three days. Location is maybe 15-20mins away from the old quarter. Hotel a bit worn but clean, food was average and the staff was friendly. The beds were very firm, you got 10mins of free wifi, time spent over that was at a cost.

“Modern hotel, Japanese chain.”

Modern hotel a bit removed from the old quarter and other sites. Staff was exceptional! Breakfast was ok... But not outstanding. Beds were VERY firm... For those who like a softer mattress you will be disappointed.

Struggle to see what is 5 star in this place other than the Japanese style electric toilet. Bed is comfy, but the hotel is showing its age & generally nothing special at all. Most irritatingly the wifi isn't free

clean hotel and upkeeping with the japanese standards. i found it annoying that if you used part of the free bottled water that they would throw it away and just replace with a new bottle instead of leaving the partially used bottle of water there and just adding new bottles to it. i guess i am used to US hotels...
