Have stayed at this hotel at the end of 2011/the beginning of 2012. We're so lucky that they upgraded our room from Superior to Deluxe, and even more we had a room with a view to the lake (West Lake). The room's spacious and nicely appointed. The bathroom's stunning (with shower & bathtub), and they provide amenities from l'Occitane (I... More

Good location for exploring the old quarters. Comfortable rooms. Our club floor room had a great view of the lakes. The Executive lounge is nice. We also appreciated the 3 pieces of laundry per day free of charge. On our final day we actually sent more that three 3 pieces - and the hotel discounted the 3 most expensive items... More

To echo another reviewer who went "Wow! Wow! Wow!", I can only say "Love! Love! Love!" We were upgraded to an Executive Club room and stayed here before and after we went to Halong Bay. The Sofitel Plaza was an oasis, with our luxurious room and stunning bathroom. There seem to be slight variations in the quality of the rooms... More

I certainly agree with other reviewers that the executive lounge is very nice. We also enjoyed the heated swimming pool. Breakfast (downstairs) was excellent. Staff is friendly and efficient. More

Dear guest Thank you for taking the time to review on your latest experience at Sofitel Plaza Hanoi. We are delighted that you appreciated the service and assistance of your team. Rooms with full view to West Lake are normally tremendously popular among our guests. It is our regret that the noise from the pagoda prevented you from enjoying you... More

I've stayed at many 5 star hotels, including in Saigon. This was my first time staying at the Softel Plaza Hanoi and I was deeply disappointed. Where to begin: - One reason I like 5 stars in countries like this is because the front desk and concierge should be able to speak English well. This was not the case here.... More

I was picked up from the airport in the hotel BMW, which was very nice and even had WIFI. The check in staff and concierge could not do enough for me when I arrived. Room was spacious and well equipped wifi in the rooms would have been a bonus as opposed to a LAN which obviously I couldn't use with... More

We stayed at Sofitel Plaza Hanoi for 4 nights recently. The rooms are excellent and the breakfast is really good. The views from the Luxury rooms are amazing as well. If you get the Sofitel club benefits, you will enjoy complimentary tea/coffee all day long with an unexpectedly good selection of snacks, and an open bar (free) of a variety... More

There are 2 Sofitel hotels in Hanoi. One is the Metropole which is near the Opera House and a definitely 5 stars. The Sofitel Plaza is about 10 min from the Metropole by taxi (60,000 dong). There is not much near this hotel, so even if you want some food, you need to take a taxi. Some rooms have a... More
