Stayed there 1 nite only, understood that is a cheap hotel for backpackers and I didnt expect good facilities or amenities in the room. As some above reviews, the wifi in the room was so terrible! I couldnt access wifi when I was in my room although the receptionist gave me password of 2 wifi connections- 1 from the hotel... More

We reserved a double room but didn't actually stay in the hotel because a room wasn't saved for us after a long flight. Instead, we were taken to another hotel 15 seconds away from it which was horrible - 5 floors climb, extremely humid, dirty and with an air conditioner with no remote to turn it off so we ended... Pros - good location ( many street food around) - our double room on the top floor was quiet, clean with Tv ( broken), aircon and hot shower - free breakfast - small happy hour Cons -Do... More

This little place at the end of Ngõ Huyên is not worth staying in, unless you don't use the shower because if you use it the room will be moist for the rest of the time you are here, the air con in the room or fan in the bathroom can't get the moist out! The front desk is a... More

You get much better beds for the same money! The bathroom is a desaster. Breakfast is alright but in general none of the staff members really seems to care... I am not sure anout the security - mein towel got stolen/ lost/ i dont know... The location is a plus though, but there are tons ofhostelsaround...

If it was not for the free beer between 5-7pm every day I would have given this place a 3. But hey, guess the beer made me happy. Some people said it is warm, but no, it was actually cool. Not very tasty but after a couple you get used to it. The girl in reception is smiley and friendly,... More

Yes, You read right! Every night they had free beer between 17-19.00. We could`nt resist, and ending up being tipsy every evening for 5 nights. Not good for our health, I guess, but good for the morale. I did`nt like it too much in the beginning, but the taste really grows on you. There is also free breakfaste every morning. There... More

This is a very friendly and cheap hostel. It is family run and they are great fro information and tour booking. We took a double room, which had a/c, ensuite and fridge. Breakfast is included and there is free beer every night from 5-7pm! It's a great opportunity to meet other travelers. I would thoroughly recommend this hostel.

I was kicked out of my previous hostel because they had overbooked and no longer had room for myself. Walked a few minutes down the road and found the Tonkin Hotel. Ended up changing rooms twice because I kept finding problems with cleanliness (ex. lots of mold in the refrigerator, dirty sheets, clogged drains in the bathroom from excess hair,... More

When we arrived in the early morning from Sapa and central backpacker hostel didn't keep their promise to reserve a room for us, this hostel was the next best thing. We were planning to have a shower and crash here until the early afternoon and then go to the airport. Only after all the paperwork the receptionist insisted we still... More
