After checking around 10 other backpackerhostels, this was the only one that allowed us to park our bikes in front of their hostel. Besides it was the cheapest one as well (4 dollar per night for dorm). Staff is very friendly, bed and dorm are clean. Shower is small but hot/warm and location is also good. We thought we found... We had a very bad experience in this hostel. We booked 2 beds in dorms three days before our staying in Hanoi, it was ok with the reception. We let our luggages in the dorms and then went out to enjoy Hanoi nightlife. When we came back the Hostel's front door was closed, we had to knock loudly to wake... More

Victor hostel is a nice enough hostel. The woman who runs reception during the day was incredible and helped me organise all my trips, booked halong bay for me, helped me decipher the Hanoi bus network, etc. The other two members of staff were irritating to say the least. The old guy just wanted to sell me crappy tours and... More

Friendly staff, cheap and great loccation. What more can you ask for? Perfect backpacker hotel. You can hear some noise at night from The street but if you dont mind that i really recommend this place. We paid 15 dollars/night (17 dollars with breakfast) for a double room with twin beds, ac and a balcony.

We stayed in a twin room. It was spacious although very cold (it was +13 outside), noisy ( street side) and dirty. Not all personnel speak English well. Bed linen was used before but after having asked to be changed we got new one. The price for one night was 15$ not including breakfast. Breakfast is offered for 1$ but... More
