6 On Sixteen was exactly the place we needed it to be. Its location, just metres from Hoan Kiem Lake at the southern end of Hanoi's Old Quarter, is hugely convenient for visiting the city's cultural attractions. The opera house and many museums are either within walking distance or a short cab ride away. The street food and local vendors... More

Fantastic boutique hotel with clean and comfortable rooms and facilities. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Other reviews complain about not having TV in your room. Umm why would you when you have Hanoi outside your door to explore. You can watch TV at home. You don't need a toilet door we all look pretty much the same. You don't... More

We loved this little boutique hotel. It is in a great location. Easy access to the lake, markets and quick taxi trip to the train station. It is a clean hippy bohemian style - so do not expect flash, new or false ambiance. We thoroughly enjoyed it and found the staff and owner extremely helpful and nothing was too much... More

I don't know why Lonely Planet writter fell in love with this hotel in which nothing is exceptional except the missing, on purpose, WC door ! The ethnic deco is nice but not enough at all to compensate the lack : of a lift, of the bathrooms doors, windows in some rooms, TV in other rooms, working Credit Card machine,... More

Booked at Six on Sixteen based on Lonely Planet's endorsement of the hotel as a "top choice" and we were definitely underwhelmed. Plus side - Ha, who checked us in, was very helpful and friendly Great location! Minus side- Our room had a 1 foot x 10 inch window. Definitely request a balcony room (which we did, but didn't get).... More

We stayed several nights in this hotel. The location of the hotel is very good, near the Hoan Kiem lake and near a lot of other attractions in the old town. The girls working in the hotel are great and did their utmost to make our stay as comfortable as possible. They had lots of good advices about travelling in... More

Brekky was also very good. The beds are large and comfortable. The street noise was not too bad, even w/ all the honking that goes on in Hanoi! Nice welcome drink and they also organized my trip to Halong Bay. I stayed two nights (separated by one night in Halong Bay) and was very pleased w/ the location and the... More

After a very delayed flight I arrived in Hanoi after midnight and was let in by security as reception closes at 10pm - this was a bit of an odd start as we couldn't really communicate very well. I had a room at the back on the first floor with good wifi, and wasn't bothered by the stairs, but the... More

As soon as I entered 6 on Sixteen I was greeted with the hotel owner Pete, who was very welcoming. I traveled alone so it was great to feel safe in the hotel. The interior was tastefully styled with Sapa decor and the young staff are friendly and informative. Being a foodie, I asked Pete to recommend some eating places,... More

I stayed for two nights even though I had booked for three. The staff had no problem amending my booking and arranging a ticket for the night train I decided to take to Dong Hoi. In fact it was from Ha, the duty manger, that I learned of the night train. I was given a fantastic orientation on arrival which... More
