Booked at Six on Sixteen based on Lonely Planet's endorsement of the hotel as a "top choice" and we were definitely underwhelmed. Plus side - Ha, who checked us in, was very helpful and friendly Great location! Minus side- Our room had a 1 foot x 10 inch window. Definitely request a balcony room (which we did, but didn't get).... More

We stayed several nights in this hotel. The location of the hotel is very good, near the Hoan Kiem lake and near a lot of other attractions in the old town. The girls working in the hotel are great and did their utmost to make our stay as comfortable as possible. They had lots of good advices about travelling in... More

Brekky was also very good. The beds are large and comfortable. The street noise was not too bad, even w/ all the honking that goes on in Hanoi! Nice welcome drink and they also organized my trip to Halong Bay. I stayed two nights (separated by one night in Halong Bay) and was very pleased w/ the location and the... More

After a very delayed flight I arrived in Hanoi after midnight and was let in by security as reception closes at 10pm - this was a bit of an odd start as we couldn't really communicate very well. I had a room at the back on the first floor with good wifi, and wasn't bothered by the stairs, but the... More

As soon as I entered 6 on Sixteen I was greeted with the hotel owner Pete, who was very welcoming. I traveled alone so it was great to feel safe in the hotel. The interior was tastefully styled with Sapa decor and the young staff are friendly and informative. Being a foodie, I asked Pete to recommend some eating places,... More

I stayed for two nights even though I had booked for three. The staff had no problem amending my booking and arranging a ticket for the night train I decided to take to Dong Hoi. In fact it was from Ha, the duty manger, that I learned of the night train. I was given a fantastic orientation on arrival which... More

I stayed in this hotel for 5 nights and really enjoyed every minute. The decor of the hotel is typical and very beautiful. The staff are very helpful especially the young person in charge. She helped us to book all our train flight and was incredibly patient and helpful, At some points I thought she was booking it for herself... More

We had spent a night here last month. As soon as we walked, we loved the décor -- contemporary with eco friendly Vietnamese touches. However, the room even though nicely done did not have any window. Because we stayed only one night, we put up with it. Anyone suffering from claustrophobia probably should not stay in the windowless rooms. The... More

We only stayed one night at 6 on Sixteen before departing to Sa Pa to stay at sister properties - Hmong Mountain Retreat and Sa Pa Boutique Hotel. Despite this only being a short stay, we found the staff to be friendly and helpful. The hotel was well appointed, rooms simple and comfortable. We had a room with a balcony,... More

Really enjoyed staying here, was exactly what I was after - small, friendly, void of a soulless hotel lobby. The staff were great, really enjoyed chatting to Ha (sp?). The communal 'living room' type area is really nice. Will definitely recommend. Was a little disappointed that I didn't get a balcony room as was suggested would be the case when... More
