Great location to get around the city, staff were fab we watched the football with them and they even gave us a free beer, sorted out a bus and boat to cat ba and didn't try to sell us a tour, also helped my friend get his bag back when it didn't turn up at the airport, organised us taxis... More

We planned to stay for two nights in Hanoi and took a room at Rainbow Hotel. The hotel is located right in the centre of the old town. The stay was a great disappointment. The room was small, mouldy and the only window was to the staircase. The bathroom had no window either. Considering that the AC was not working... More

I have stayed at this hotel a couple of times with my wife who is Vietnamese. We found the hotel staff to be both friendly and helpful contributing to the good atmosphere in the hotel. The hotel is in a good central location right near Hoan Kiem lake and other attractions. The rooms are basic but clean and neat and... More

This poor excuse for a hotel is a disgrace! The place is unhygienic, beds were filthy and the shower did not work. The staff were extremely rude, particularly the guy that supposedly owned the place. We turned up 5 minutes late for breakfast and they refused to serve us. We also desperately needed to print of a plane ticket and... More

I’m not sure if we stayed at a Rainbow Hotel that was ripping off another by the same name (a frequent practice in Vietnam) or if this place was once actually a good place to stay. Because my boyfriend and I booked here after reading great reviews and were thoroughly disgusted. Our room smelled incredibly musty and damp. There was... More

This hotel has a foundation of good reviews here and on other sites (especially hostelbookers which we booked through) which it seems to be using to support its new-found lack of effort. We found the reception staff to be (with the exception of one girl) completely disinterested in any of the guests: we were given wrong directions to the bus... More

upon arrival the staff were very unhelpful and rude, we were led to a room with a strong smell of damp and mould which they had covered up with pictures. we asked for another room. the staff offered no apology for the state of the first room and gave us a key for a different room, in which the air... lovely receptionists and great travel desk - we booked our halong bay trip through the hotel and they were helpful and we got the best deal out of everyone on our trip. The beds were rock solid in both rooms that we stayed in. Breakfast was great with a massive bread roll and fresh fruit. Would recommend this hotel, great... More

We stayed here initially for 2 nights and later extended our stay - we were impressed with the location, its in the heart of the Old Quarter and everything is quite literally at the hotels doorstep. The hotel is basic but clean and a good value budget hotel. What makes this place different to everywhere else is the fantastic reception,... More

I found this hotel on hostel bookers and they had a special rate $170.000 Dong a night inc breakfast. I like this place, the location is fantastic, the room and amenities modern, clean and comfortable. Aircon and quiet room a bonus. They said wifi would not work in my room 404 but my Mac picked it up. There server has... More
