This hotel has a good, central location, it's reasonably new and modern in a Western style. The staff are very courteous and eager to please. The beds are very good and the bathrooms are spacious and well appointed. There are a few items on the negative side: the rooms don't have a lot of light sources so even with all... More

We stayed one night at the hotel and thoroughly enjoyed it. The location was near the Opera House and a good area to walk around and sightsee. Rooms were spacious and well appointed. Bathrooms were huge! Pool was chilly but well maintained and workout room was very nice. Had tea service in atrium which was lovely. Dinner was delicious and... More

I stayed here just for a night on the two trips here and I enjoyed the plush comfort, with huge king bed and impressive bathroom, and proximity to the Opera House and nice restaurants. Staff were courteous and attentive. It's less than ten minutes' walk to the Hoen Kiem Lake and Old Quarter.

It's a cute hotel, and I chose it for the location. Unfortunately for $200 I was expecting more. Breakfast not included aside, the sound proofing is nil. I could hear the traffic and loudspeakers outside as if the windows were open... day and night. There was a funky smell coming from the bathroom sink, and the sink itself was way... More

We stayed here twice within the one week before & after our trip to Ha Long Bay. The first time was in a room facing the internal courtyard, the second with an outside perimeter window. Both rooms were clean and tidy with comfortable beds and lovely linen. I did find it difficult to get in the bed, it was so... More

Not an inspiring hotel despite the French Colonial origins and a convenient location not far from the lake. It has a rather stern and staid feel and now needs a further makeover to modernise its style. Bedroom had comfortable beds, though you almost needed a stepladder to climb in. But the room was dark, furnished in black and very badly... More

Our family of 5 stayed at the L'Opera hotel in hanoi for 3 nights in December of 2014. First off, Hanoi is a great city to explore and this hotel is located in a great location to get you started. From the hotel, you can easily walk to the lake, the historic old city and anywhere else you want to... More

We chose this hotel because of its good reviews and also for location - nea the lake, just off the main boulevard around the lake, easy walking distance to most main places to visit and a short taxi ride to the Ho Chi Mihn museum, mausoleum and single pillar pagoda. Very helpful staff who booked tickets to the water puppet... More

My partner and I could not have possibly asked for better accommodation during our weekend getaway to Hanoi. Located within sight of the historic Hanoi Opera House, the French Quarter and within 10-15 mins walk from the Old Quarter of Hanoi - including the lovely Hoan Kiem Lake, this hotel is strategically located to enable you to explore most of...
