Good location but rooms really odd..overblown décor, bed so high it needed a footstool to get up..not kidding. Short people or those with bad back, knees beware. Great pillow menu. Staff so so..didn't believe us when checked out we hadn't used mini bar so held up while they called to check. Breakfast very disappointing. Niot sure re value..booked via local... More

I pondered whether to give this an average or very good rating. Nothing wrong with our suite which was very well appointed, but even though the windows were double glazed the traffic noise very early in the morning was dreadful. This is a hotel used by business people as well as holidaymakers, and the first of the two nights we... More

Much like the title said, a good hotel without being great. Location is excellent, lots of restaurants around and the old quarter is only a 10 minute walk. Staff try really hard, but we've had better service in other hotels on this holiday. Hotel is also located on a busy street and if you have a room facing the road,... More

In January a group of us were in Hanoi for three days and we wanted a good hotel that was centrally located that had a good breakfast. We were quite pleased that we chose the Hotel de L Opera. It is right in the center of old Hanoi near the opera and historic French buildings. Easy to get anywhere (if... More

This is a luxurious hotel with beautiful rooms and all the bells and whistles for amenities. The staff was attentive and professional. The inner rooms are definitely quieter than the outside ones. The neighborhood is upscale and busy. The included breakfast was lovely with menu and/or buffet options. We ate one evening in the hotels Cafe Lautrec given the ambience... More

We stayed here during Chinese Newyear and we have a wonderful experience during this time and especially in this hotel. The room was absolutely fantastic, because it's more than just a room with is beautiful interior and the extraordinary bathroom. The service staff in the restaurant is extremely helpfull and friendly, this made our stay very comfortable. The breakfast is... More

Despited my request to have a quiet room upon my arrival, we got given room 205! 1 floor from the street and the noises of cars, motorbikes honking, people talking laughing from the pubs downstairs were absolutely annoying, disturbing through to the early hours of the morning. We were staying for 2 night, I had to wear earplugs on my... More

Stayed 4 nights at this hotel and our room was on the 5th floor overlooking the atrium so no road noise - it also at the end of the corridor which also helped. I nearly needed a ladder to get up onto the bed :-) but it was softish and had fantastic pillows so had a great night sleep. Also... More

My wife and I stayed 3 nights at Hotel de l’Opera in Hanoi. We were in Hanoi for the Asian leg of our honeymoon, and the hotel was kind enough to provide us with the biggest room in the entire hotel, 410 (at least they said that!) They also left a very kind personalized note with some chocolates to welcome... More
