The good part was that I ate well and slept well. However, this does appear to be a hotel that has been designed to within an inch of its life, and some of these features almost put me off - but not quite. The room is "entered via [a] private vestibule". But it's dark, and it really doesn't make the... More

Last week I stayed at de L'Opera for business. The hotel is pleasant and silent in the centre of Hanoi. Rooms are spacious and clean. The bed is very comfortable, its seems at the stat if the hotel management has realized the bed is the most important element in a hotel. Breakfast is very nice with a lot of fresh... More

We booked this online seeing the luxurious finish and had an incredibly stay, even for a night. The check-in was quick and we made it a point to have a room facing the courtyard as we knew it would noisy. the bell boys and concierge were the best assets of the company. Two of them were a delight - enthusiastic and... More

Check-in fast but counter staff not as friendly as I have hoped. Maybe just not her day. Concierge and bell boy were very friendly which helps improved the overall check-in experience. Was given room at level 2 which was quite noisy. Hotel did provide ear plugs which helps with the overall sleep experience. Bed was fantastic! Had a relatively good... More

The first time we stayed at the Opera, the service was great, the room was perfect, and we ordered room service and had the most amazing burger EVER! That was the main reason we came back the 2nd time after our cruise to halong bay. However the 2nd time was more expensive, the room had many problems, and the food... More

This hotel has been fitted out so well, love the furniture and styling. Our room was huge and had the biggest, comfiest bed I've ever slept in. Our room overlooked the hotels inner courtyard. The daily breakfast was delicious, with many different menu options as well as the buffet included. The location was perfect for exploring on foot. The only... More

I recently stayed at Hotel de l'Opera in Hanoi for 4 nights. Despite some negative reviews from other users, there was nothing I could fault the hotel or staff for. All the staff from reception, restaurant to house-keeping were friendly and helpful. The room was quiet with black out curtains - I had no disturbing noise from the inner courtyard,... More
