The best thing about this hotel is its location - right in the middle of the Old Quarter, close to the lake, so lots of interest in very close walking distance. Rooms are clean, beds comfortable. Not great on storage space - only a wardrobe, so we ended up having to use the suitcases as drawer-substitutes. Other reviews rave about... More

My son and I stayed 3 days at this 3 star hotel. The room was very clean, the beds comfortable. Wifi and breakfast (western and Vietnamese) were included in the price. But what stood out was the service. The staff was not very fluent in English but always had a smile on their face and were extremely helpful when we... More

We stayed in a group in the hotel. The room was rather cramped and had a partition wall in one corner with the dressing table there. There was very little place to move about. The swimming pool on the terrace is though very small but is quite refreshing after a tiring day. The staff is always smiling and serve with... More

I stayed a total of four nights in two different rooms. Rooms are clean and comfortable and the bed was really good (with a light doona that didn't cause me to wake in a sweat in the middle of the night). Staff were polite and helpful. Breakfast is included but not as good at many other places. I enjoyed the... More

We stayed at May de Ville for two nights in the middle of January 2015. The hotel is modern with good rooms and a good location. The restaurant serves better food for lunch than it does for breakfast. Our itinerary included a two day one night travel to Halong Bay and the hotel was kind enough to let us store... More

My husand and I stayed here for 2 nights in December 2014. We had just arrived in Vietnam so it was a nice, calm and quiet hotel to relax in after travelling. The room was very clean and the staff were very friendly and polite. While it is rated as a 4 star hotel, I don't think it is comparable... More

The location is good, and the hotel is fine, but not outstanding. My room was quite tiny, though quiet. We went upstairs to the bar to have a drink, but even though it was supposed to be open, it was not. So, we went to the lobby where they also serve drinks, thinking it would be nice to sit there... The hotel claims they are 4 star but we found that rooms are small, but my local guide said it is a big room already. We were upgraded for free but still for us, it is small. Staff are helpful and friendly. Breakfast is poor, maybe becoz it was low season, only 5 ppl including I and my husband had... More

An oasis in the Chaos of old hanoi city. Ok. So we travel and visit strange places to look and learn. Hanoi old city is packed with new experiences. But end of the day, it is comforting to return to a Clean and spacious oasis. Down a small street, opposite the raw meat venor and the prawns spread out on... More
