We had the pleasure to stay in this hotel in late Sept 2014 and again in early Oct 2014. It is in a great location in the heart of the Old Quarter. It also provides a very quiet and clean oasis from the Old Quarter at the same time. The breakfast was outstanding (always fresh and great food). The beds... More

i stayed here for three nights in a group of 24. The lobby is gorgeous, the rooms were simple but roomy and nice. The staff were friendly and always smiling. The breakfast service wasn't quite right but it filled the gap until lunch. I wouldn't stay here again but it was a pleasant enough hotel.

We were supposedly 'upgraded ' to this hotel on our trip. Were told it was 4 star, what a joke if it was half a star it would have been an exaggeration! No toilet paper in our room and it took almost an hour for some arrive after many calls to reception.when it rained our windows leaked and the room was flooded,we... More

I can not understand how people can rate this hotel anything other than terrible - the service may be just OK but the hotel is a thrown together dump - slung up in a few months - as i watched it being built - The rooms are disgusting - not that clean - some stupid tiling and glass work -... More

The hotel was worth every penny just for the staff esp. Miss moon (travel desk). They helped up organise ourselfs and reserve places goimg the extra mile. They let us keep our bags there for almost a week without an upcomming reservation. The rooms are clean and nice. The location makes it my hanoi no.1

This is a lovely appointed hotel, unfortunately during our stay there was extensive renovations going on the 9th floor, sun deck and pool area. The works started at 7 am and went thru the day until 7pm, it did make the foyer area cluttered and very dusty due to manual removal of rubble. I dare say once the renovations are... More

Arriving off our overnight train from Sapa,we were looking forward to a nice breakfast and a bit of a rest before catching our flight back to Aussie after an awesome holiday.Breakfast was poor compared to other hotels we have stayed at in Asia. Our room was okay until the workman started their machinery and the chance for any rest was impossible.Deciding... This was a very old hotel, that was charming but still needs a lot of restoration. Staff were very good and although the restaurant only served breakfast, it was pretty good. The area is a bit daunting , as you are right amongst the local food markets, where live animals are prepared right on the foot path. Also be prepared... More

May de Ville situated in the heart of the old quarter. I was looking forward to a good nights sleep and was disappointed with the first room I had 402 on the side of a road. It was unbearably loud with construction work starting at 5am and the sounds from the street continuing until at least 1am. I complained the... More
