This hotel is in a great spot for exploring the fascinating Old Quarter.Listed as 4 star it is definitely only 3 to 3 1/2 at most. Rooms were clean and a reasonable size but everything was slightly shabby and in need of some painting and re-decorating. breakfast was acceptable. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The bar area is... More

The best thing about this hotel is it's location. Right in the Old Quarter of Hanoi with amazing views from the roof over the Hoan Kiem lake (far better than from the Roof Top Bar in the hotel next door). The swimming pool was the main reason we booked this hotel as it seems to be a rare luxury if... More

Unlike other hotel services in Ha Noi, the services of this hotel is more likely Saigon style. The staffs are hospital, helpful and very friendly. This is great location, in the center of old quarter, especially the restaurant in 10th Floor has great view to the lake. The morning breakfast is not too much but great dishes and enough. The... Glad that Exodus booked this hotel for us. Although it was not the best hotel in Hanoi or with the most starts, although the breakfast provided were not the best, but the staff in the hotels were ALL very helpful, always come with a smiling face, and always willing to help - on anything. No complaint about us messing up... More

We booked a double room with ensuite. Room was really nice. Really good staff. They booked us a few tours and the tours were reasonable priced and really well run. Very central in old town. Air port transfers were really helpful. Loved our stay!

Great hotel in the middle of Hanoi's old quarter. 2 minutes walking to the famous Ta Hien street beer. Decent breakfast buffet on the rooftop with the view of Hoan Kiem Lake. The staff here is very welcoming and friendly. Would definitely recommend!

I booked this hotel from Australia for only 2 nights, before I went to Halong bay. I returned here after my trip from Halong Bay, and made it my base for many wonderful trips in northern Vietnam for the next 14 days.Jennifer (Thao) the tour organiser was absolutely wonderful, she helped me enormously, and booked all my tours and overnight... I stayed there once when my regular hotel in Hoan Kiem was full. Same same type of services for USD60, but all is a bit more complicated and used as compared to the other one (Authentic). But walking out and being in the heart of the old quarter has no value I guess. Room was quiet unlike I exected given... More

Throughout our stay the hotel disappointed us at every level besides the friendly staff. First of all the pool was closed for maintenance we wish we were informed before hand as that was the one reason we stayed here! Secondly the wifi didn't work anywhere within the hotel. We complained and were 'upgraded' to a seemingly worse room. The rooms... More

Spend the $20 and get the suite. Its amazing. Probably the biggest nicest bed ever. I wish I could live here. Excellent bathrooms. Huge TVs. The breakfast is good. Location is excellent. Highly recommend the May de Ville!
