Had an ok time at the May De Ville. Got laundry done twice "express" which is spose to be 4 hours. Both times took nearly 24 which is longer than the non express. Housekeeping is very slack, not cleaning properly, not restocking bathroom or minibar. Safe wouldn't open in our room and took them 3 days to bring us a... More

The rooms are small, dark and depressing with a damp mouldy smell. The air con didnt work in our room and it was so noisy (the workers were talking loudly on their walkie talkies and running up and down the stairs at 7am). I complained, and they were apologetic and changed our room which was not much better. The breakfast... More

I stayed here for 2 nights in February and was very impressed with the hotel. The room was brilliant and great bathrooms too. The room I had was quite noisy but I quite liked this as I got to watch the street life. The hotel is located right in the centre of the old quarter, close to the water puppet... More

We stayed here for two nights in hanoi. The hotel facilities are nice and the location is central to the old quarter and lake. The included breakfast needs some work. It is very average and struggles to compete with other hotel offerings. We actually skipped the free breaky on the last day and went to a local restaurant instead. Not... More

when entering the lobby hings look really good. Then we were shown into a crummy, dark and musty very small room. After complaining it was possible however, to get a larger room for the same price. The breakfast was very rudimentary, service appalling. The best thing about this hotel is the central location in the old quarter.

The hotel is really nice. Right in the middle of old quarter, so the location is really convenient to walk around Vietnam and the night market. The streets there are just full, full of buildings, people and there seems to be no space at all, what-so-ever, with lots of by lanes and small shops. Spacious and clean rooms, comfortable beds.... We choose this hotel after our trip from Halong Bay. from the outside it looks really really nice, but as i mentioned before if you are staying in old quarter don't expect a view. I did asked for a room with a view, unfortunately there is non available so we end up with no view! But this hotel is clean... More

We stayed here at the start of our holiday in Vietnam. A great location. The room was comfortable but smelt a little damp (because the light and fan for the bathroom operates from by the bed and I think that guests forget to put the fan on). The bed was comfortable and even though the Old Quarter is quite noisy... More

Our first night at the May de Ville was ok, although the room was really noise with random banging sounds all night there was also a creepy hole in the door that we filled with a sock, people could actually look straight through and see us in bed! bed was really comfy and room was really big and very nice.... The Old Quarter of Hanoi is a fun but hectic place to visit whilst in Hanoi, and the May de Ville Hotel on Gia Ngu is an excellent safe haven to stay at with all the creature comforts after a day is such a fast paced area of the city. We are on our third night of a five night... More
