This is what you get for 5USD: a nice bed in a clean room, a clean shared bathroom, 3 computers with free internet, breakfast (eggs, bread, fruit, tea/coffee), convenient location, and tour service. In addition, the staff is very kind and helpful. The only downside is that the room can be a bit noisy, because of the central location. If... More

Right from the first contact, Candy was a pleasure to deal with in every way. Not only did she book our rooms and tours, but she answered myriad questions, and stayed pleasant and professional as we made changes to our itinerary. The room was more than adequate for the very low price, and the staff were unfailingly pleasant and helpful.... More

Everything was great here. The rooms were clean to start with, the breakfasts were tasty and included in the room price, the halong bay tour (asia cruise - who had a great guide ) was faultless, the staff were extremely helpful. The price was also half of what we paid to stay in the hanoi deluxe hotel on bat su... More

I was recommended this hostel by Little Hanoi Hostel. I stayed in the dorm at 32 Hang Vai street, $5/night (105 000 dong at the moment). The young staff is very friendly and helpful, putting effort into learning the names of the guests for example. A basic breakfast is included but not towel (an extra 10 000 dong) and soap.... More

Mike and Candy run both Hanoi Hostels and they do an amazing job! We stayed here on two separate occasions and had a great time. Free wifi, free beer and free breakfast all for $5 a night ($15 for private room). All the rooms have large lockers available for your belongings under the bed. The only thing we didn't like... More

My regret is not knowing about this hostel and missed the chance to stay here. My husband and I were staying in another hotel just round the corner. We were walking around the area and saw the cheap tour ads on the hostel's glass panel. We made enquiries about the tours and asked a lot of questions. The young man... More

The rooms at Hanoi Hostel 2 are just fine. Nothing to rave about but they are clean enough and they are a great value. The breakfast is nice - unlimited toast and watermelon and coffee and a fried egg. What I liked most about this place was the staff. All of them were very helpful and friendly. Candy, who seems...
