had shower and breakfast after arriving back from Sapa in the train station. Room was small but clean, so was the bathroom. Wifi was good, breakfast was nothing special at all, the breakfast area did not look hygienic at all. Thinking back, I might have better gone back to my Old Quarter hotel (La Siesta& Spa).

I stayed here just one night after being awake for over 24 hours traveling from California, so I was quite tired. Nonetheless, I really enjoyed the modern and clean room and great view to railway station square. The room service for breakfast meal was wonderful. Also very great location, just cross the road to reach Hanoi central railway station and... More

We needed a room for 3 hours as we reached the train station at 4.30am and the next tour would start at 7.30am. We approached the hotel and asked for the price of a room. The receptionist surveyed us from top to bottom and finally quoted 400k dong for a room. We didn't like being surveyed and quoted accordingly. So... More

I was very satisfied with New Moon hotel. The rooms were clean, quiet and comfortable. Wifi worked fine, bathroom was always clean, the staffs, who were always at the reception, were very helpful and friendly. They were happy to assist with any directions. The location is good, very close to Hanoi old quarter however it is slightly tucked away but... More

This was our 1st time at Hanoi and we really enjoy our time at New Moon. It is 3 stars hotel however everything were good enough including the pricing. It takes only 5minutes to walk to Van Mieu – 1st University of Vietnam. 10 minutes by taxi to Ho chi minh Mausoleum – 1st Vietnamese President rest in peace, Hoan... More

We had an hour to wait for our train to Sapa so went across the road to try the restaurant at the new moon hotel. They didn't have the first thing we asked for so we asked for steamed chicken with lemon and ginger and combination fried rice. The rice came out first and tasted like the frozen rice I... More

20/1/2015 I have such a short time around 5-6 hours at Hanoi to wait for the night train to Sapa. Luckily, I booked a room at New Moon hotel while waiting the train. The hotel location is opposite the Hanoi station which is the most convenient place. I only need to cross the road so I can get on the... More

Similar to many reviewers, we were booked this hotel as part of a tour once arriving back from the train from Sapa (stay was about 3 hours long - from 5 to 8 am). The room itself looked ok, but there were what looked like cigarette burn holes in the bedding. My husband also killed a couple of small cockroaches... More

I can only second to what has already been posted. I was booked here by my travel agent prior to train trip to Sapa. As I entered the room it smelt of cigarette smoke, sheets were dirty and had holes on it. AC temperature is not controlled within the room. There is no hot water. Bathroom was clean. Toiletries and... More

The tour company booked us this hotel to rest before taking the train to Sapa. The hotel is just in front of the train station you can hear all the trains. The room was dirty and smelled like cigarette smoke. The people at reception were not very helpful as we asked for a supermarket or a place to eat and... More
