We had a wonderful stay at the Rising Dragon Grand Hotel! The rooms were clean, spacious and they provide lots of amenities. Yen - one of the receptionists - helped plan our Halong Bay trip as well as book our domestic flights in Vietnam. She really went out of her way to ensure that our trip was enjoyable and stress... Staff here were all very nice and helpful. Even when we already checked out traveling to other spots like Sapa and Ha Long Bay and came back here as a spot to transit for the next stop, staff of the hotel welcomed us to go into the lobby even though we were not checking in that day, offered us a... During our first few days at the hotel I was very pleased. Staff was very friendly and eager to help with travel plans. Unfortunately, upon leaving our bags in their *secure storage space* while on a trip to Halong Bay, both bags were thoroughly searched and despite being locked with metal locks & zip ties, an iPad, a memory card... The hotel is fine as a budget option for a few nights in Hanoi. There's nothing wrong with the hotel per se other than to say beware of the promotional pictures on the website; the chain of Rising Dragon hotels all look pretty grand on the website, but the rooms don't live up to the images. We stayed in the... More

We first arrived here after a horrible train ride from Sapa - so we were at the hotel around 6 AM - and of course we're told that our room won't be ready for hours. I hadn't slept the whole night so I was probably pretty horrible to deal with. How ever they let us have breakfast (which BTW is... More

We really enjoyed our stay at the Rising Dragon Grand Hotel. The rooms are a bit old but very clean and spacious. The staff was very helpful and courteous. Location is also great, in the heart of the old quarter and walking distance to many attractions. Highly recommended!

I stayed in the Rising Dragon Grand Hotel for four nights in February and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I was picked up from the airport by their private bus which was extremely well set up, the driver had my name printed clearly on a sign. He didn't speak any English so the car ride was quiet but I was able... More

Where can I begin? I cannot sing the praises of this wonderful hotel and its staff enough. From making the initial booking right through until the moment I reluctantly left I was shown gracious hospitality and top notch service. The manager, Judy Anh, wrote to me personally after making my booking to thank me for my patronage and throughout my... More
