Firstly: location, location, location. If you want to experience the old-world craziness of Hanoi then this street in the old quarter is for you. Located close to the night markets, the lake, and all major attractions, you could not set yourself up in a better position than this. Secondly: service with a smile. The staff at La Dolce Vita are... More

Yes, it's true! The location of the hotel is ideal to experience local life. First thing to know is that it is located in the market area of the Old Quarter. So expect busy streets. One thing to love is that the hotel is only 10 to 15 minutes away (or longer if you were tempted to shop along the... More

Set in the heart of the old quarter, this hotel is one of the traditional narrow buildings, but that added to its charm for us. Rooms are on the small side naturally, but clean & air conditioned. We'd only head back to the hotel to freshen up or sleep. So much to explore around the area, we walked miles each... More

My family and I stayed at the La Dolce Vita hotel in July and had a great time. We had 2 rooms next to each other which we had requested. Both our rooms were large, comfy and clean. We stayed there twice and the second time they gave us rooms in the 6 floor which was quieter from the second floor... More

First time we have been to Vietnam and Hanoi. WOW staying in the old quarter is an experience. Firstly the hotel, when we arrived we were greeted by a lovely girl named Lucy, who really helped us, this is a 3 star hotel so don't expect gilded tap wear. The beds where comfortable and the rooms clean, Better than any... More

I did not stay at the hotel but I went to the restaurant to order two sandwiches to take away. I ordered a club sandwich and a chicken-cheese sandwich they were promoting. None of the sandwiches tasted bad, but the club sandwich had only egg and vegetables in it and the chicken-cheese sandwich had no cheese. I was quite disappointed... More

Hanoi for me was a 4 night nightmare & a lesson in buying online deals, a great example of not getting what you thought you had bought, or as I call it flushing your money down the toilet! Small Room, Small Bathroom, Worn out dirty hotel, breakfast not worth the comment, the mistake was staying in the old quarter, having... More

We only stayed here one night but they allowed us to leave our bags and collect them two days later and on our return use a room to freshen up. Really helpful and friendly staff. Room was really comfortable and set at the back away from the noise of the road.

We really enjoyed this hotel. It's conveniently located in the centre of The Old Quarter in Hanoi. Staff here were incredibly helpful and very courteous. Lucy, at the tour desk, was such a big help with invaluable advice on local sights, attractions and best times to view. Breakfast saw a good range of local and western food. Our room, on... More
