I did not stay at the hotel but I went to the restaurant to order two sandwiches to take away. I ordered a club sandwich and a chicken-cheese sandwich they were promoting. None of the sandwiches tasted bad, but the club sandwich had only egg and vegetables in it and the chicken-cheese sandwich had no cheese. I was quite disappointed... More

Hanoi for me was a 4 night nightmare & a lesson in buying online deals, a great example of not getting what you thought you had bought, or as I call it flushing your money down the toilet! Small Room, Small Bathroom, Worn out dirty hotel, breakfast not worth the comment, the mistake was staying in the old quarter, having... More

We only stayed here one night but they allowed us to leave our bags and collect them two days later and on our return use a room to freshen up. Really helpful and friendly staff. Room was really comfortable and set at the back away from the noise of the road.

We really enjoyed this hotel. It's conveniently located in the centre of The Old Quarter in Hanoi. Staff here were incredibly helpful and very courteous. Lucy, at the tour desk, was such a big help with invaluable advice on local sights, attractions and best times to view. Breakfast saw a good range of local and western food. Our room, on... More

I was somewhat concerned on arrival as the hotel is only 1 room wide and in a very crowded street in the old quarter. Turned out I had nothing to be worried about. Once inside this very substantial hotel the noise of the busy street disappeared. The rooms are not large but are comfortable. Breakfast is ordinary but the staff,... More

Located right in the heart of downtown Hanoi a few steps from the main lake has the rooms very clean, comfortable and spacious enough. Even the bathroom has dimensions absolutely fine. Very good breakfast buffet both sweet and savory. It has 2 internet terminals in the loft above the restaurant. Negative note that fees may apply soap, shampoo, and in... More

At first look i got worried as it was family vacation and the area and hotel looked from outside very small in congested area, a warm welcome by staff relaxed me and when checked in to room i thought not a bad deal, Later i learned that this is old HA NOI area and purposely our tour operator has booked... Stayed for one night prior to starting an organised tour. The hotel was chosen for us and obviously price was a factor. A few things in the room didn't work properly, a/c was barely functional, shower fitting loose, toilet dodgy. No major problems but just a bit rough. Hotel has interesting history and plenty of character and staff were friendly... More

We had a lovely comfortable clean room with a balcony and view of the old city. This place had such character and was within walking distance of the main lakes. The staff were super friendly and helpful and their English was pretty good. Good basic breakfast too. I would stay here again.

Stayed in La Dolce for three nights, room 401 which was at the front of the hotel with a balcony over the street. Great location situated in the centre of the Old Quarter, easy walking to the abundant shopping and eating areas and not that far from Hoan Kiem lake. Our room was well appointed, a good bed, decent bathroom... More
