We were recommended to this hotel, because the partner hotel around the corner was fully booked. What a pleasant surprise! This hotel offers great value for money and enjoys a fantastic location in the old quarter of Hanoi. Our room did only have a fake window, but the computer with internet access, the cleanliness, the tv with plenty of great... More

First and foremost, the people working there were extremely nice and helpful. I was travelling alone and wanted to explore the French Quarter and they were very helpful in helping me find places to enjoy the yummiest food in Hanoi. They spoke good English too. The room itself for its price was v good. I had free wifi and a... More

Initially we booked this hotel as a 5 hours layover to rest and shower before our overnight train to Sapa. The hotel is such good value and the staff was so accommodating that we decided to stay here after our Sapa trip. It's a small hotel located in the alley but still in the center of Hanoi. It's walking distance... More

When we arrived the name had changed so we were not sure we had the correct hotel but we had. This is located in a quiet (by Old quarter standards) backstreet right in the centre of Hanoi. Excellent friendly staff, good basic ensuite rooms with tv/wifi We were given a magnificent map of Hanoi (a must) with excellent recommendations on... More

The Charming Hotel is as it's named "Charming"!! I stayed in a city view room which was tastefully decorated, exceptionally clean and a decent size. I had a view of the interesting laneway which had a number of fresh market food stalls, hairdressers & little convenience shops. There are no cars allowed in this street making it very quiet compared... More

My husband and I were blown away by the service we received at Hanoi Charming (Cheering) hotel from the bell boy to the receptionist. Everyone was welcoming and willing to go above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The room is very clean and basic. We truly regretted not booking in advance for our second night after returning from... More

I have been in Charming Hotel for several times from the past months, apart from few hostels. This is one of the finest hotels with cheap price. The staff are courteous, room is clean, served with good breakfast. Worth every cent to stay!

Location is hard to find, place is a little dated. However price is fair for the area. You can walk around, but always clutching a map! The staff are wonderful. I like the fact that after five days here they are still genuinely friendly after five nights, and we have spent no money on tours at their place! I would... More

We booked Charming Hotel without checking it previously and didn't expect much, but everything has changed as we approached the reception. Stuff is extremely friendly, they helped us arrange trips to Sapa and Ha Long, we were allowed to leave our bags for the time as well as have a quick shower on the go. Rooms are very clean, there... We stayed here for 3 nights. In our opinion, the hotel is good however the excellent service we received (more below) raised the rating up another notch. The hotel is located in Yen Thai street, between Hang Manh and Hang Dieu, in the SW quadrant of the OId Quarter. We hadn't organized airport transfer with the hotel and were pleasantly... More
