The staffs are very kind and helpful. In fact, I arrived at the hotel too early at dawn (around 5:00 AM) because I was on the way back from Sapa. so I need to wake up a staff to enter the hotel. but the staff was very kind eventhough he was interruped his sweet sleeping by me. My room is... more

Pretty disappointed considering Joseph's is so highly ranked on TA. I stayed for three nights in November 2009. I got about two minutes of hot water in the shower before it went cold and I had ants all over the floor in the bathroom. The staff sprayed them dead at my request and shut the door but didn't clean them... more

I'm staying in Hanoi. That's why my husband have to come to Hanoi many time this year. The most difficult is finding a good hotel in a quiet place without smoking people. Each hotel have their own problem: the noise, or bathroom, or smell in the room, or dirty .... After moving to many hotel, by chance, we found Joseph... more

I stayed 3 hotels in Hanoi and this one was definitely the best. It's located by the St. Joseph Cathedral - there's good view of it from my room, I could start my day with beautiful sound from the bell... Room was spotlessly clean and had all amenities(wifi, kettle, hair dryer..), even there was a videt in toilet. It was... more

What a great hotel to start our three weeks in Vietnam. Situated on a quiet leafy street and not far from the lake, this is new and well located hotel that will become a favorite. The hotel meet every expectation and more. It was clean, comfortable and the staff congenial. Our host, Brian, provided advice, support and assistance as required... more

Great location, excellent price in a quiet street in Hanoi. You can walk everywhere in town from the Joseph's. The rooms are modern and beautifully appointed. The breakfast is superb. Adding to the charm of this hotel, you hear the bells of the Cathedral, next door in the background. The staff goes out of their way to help you out.... more

I just relocated to the fascinating and vibrant city of Ha Noi from NYC, and have been staying at Joseph’s for 2 weeks now, and probably will be here for another 2. The staff is delightful, the service impeccable, the full breakfast fantastic, the cleanliness unsurpassed, and the rooms feature simple and elegant décor plus lovely bath amenities. Joseph’s is... more

The hotel is situated right next to the cathedral. So it is very easy to locate in spite of it being in a very small road. I had a room at the top floor with a balcony view of the steeple. Every night my friend and I enjoyed the quiet evening at the balcony with bottle of wine /beer. The... more

Having booked at another hotel but been unsatisfied I stumbled across this through some travellers I met on a Halong Bay cruise who were staying here. I mentioned I didn't have anywhere to stay when I returned and they very kindly offered to blackberry email the hotel and check for availability. They replied positively and quickly. The hotel itself has... more
