Our stay at this hotel was absolutely perfect. The lovely staff speak excellent English, who advised us in our excursions in the city and finding places to eat. The hotel is ideally located in the heart of the city. The room was extremely clean, spacious, practical and pretty.

An Ideal centrally located hotel in the old town. The rooms are very comfortably furnished and all aligned to the rear and therefore quiet. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was varied and of very good quality, just as you can as much as you can We were completely satisfied and always pleasantly surprised by the service... We stayed in Trung Nam in Hanoi for a couple of nights, partly acting as a middle point between Sapa and Halong Bay. We initially booked with Hanoi Serendipity, but as there were four of us, we preferred two twin rooms to a quadruple room. Trung Nam was the sister hotel who could provide this so we moved over down... More

Spent 2 nights at Trung Nam Hai Hotel on our way through Hanoi. We had read about the taxi/hotel scams and arranged a taxi through the hotel which met us at the airport. The hotel is no frills, with clean, spacious, air-conditioned rooms - exactly what we were after. The staff were friendly, accommodating and welcomed us with a complimentary... More

We initially booked for Serendipity Hotel, but we were transferred to Trung Nam Hai Hotel (same owner as Serendipity) instead. The whole experience with Trung Nam Hai Hotel was just excellent, maybe it'd be best and easier for me to simply enumerate the reasons: 1. We were given a room upgrade for free! 2. The room was VEERRRY spacious for... More

We originally booked for Serendipity but was booked in Trung Nam Hai. Booking was so easy because Tony was quick to reply and answered all my questions as we were travelling in a group of 6. Our hotel transfer and Halong Bay cruise were all through the hotel. We heard it would be a little more expensive but it was... More

It was a great stay, with the sweetest, most awesome staff. Each morning they made sure I had the breakfast I wanted. The room was a great buy; americans will be amazed how little they pay for so much.

The main thing about this hotel is the staff - they were so incredibly helpful, and really went above and beyond for us! They were so helpful and informative about tours etc, BUT not pushy which is rare here! We ended up booking a great tour of halong bay with them..and we stupidly left one of our bags on the bus... Although I originally tried to book in at the sister hotel, I was shuffled off to this place just around the corner. Very efficient and friendly staff, reasonable breakfast and excellent bed. Importantly it had an elevator ( I have crook knees) I but say it wasn't as nice as I had hoped … and was a little noisy in... More

We had heard about this hotel through the Tripadvisor website. We stayed 7 days and was very happy about everything in this hotel. Located in the Old Centre, it is so convenient to visit many historical sites, such as Sword Lake, Cathedral or Water puppet theatre, etc.. The staff is outstanding . The room was very clean, quiet and air-con... More
