We booked a standard room but got upgraded. The room was clean, the staff extremely helpful and the breakfast good. We also booked our 2 night halong bay tour on the imperial junk boat there and were extremely pleased.

Our flight into Hanoi landed at night and after reading many (no positive) reviews about getting a taxi from the airport we decided to ask the hotel to send a car. A gentlemen was right there waiting for us as soon as we walked out of the airport, there wasn't even time for the taxi drivers to hassle us. It... More

A nice place to go back to after a day in the busy city. Booked a standard room but they upgraded to deluxe for free because the room wasn't ready yet which was nice! Free tea and coffee all day and breakfast is decent. Not a lot to choose from but who cares if it's free. Nice spacious room with... More

I am shocked at the good reviews this hotel got. This is the most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed in, including hostels and budget hotels all over Asia. Everything is broken, dirty and old. The power outlets dont work and there is a gross broken computer in the room. It's very loud, even on the 6th floor, and the... More

Very good and cheap hotel in the center and close to every thing! The the personal is super frendly, speaks perfect eglish and is very helpful! A special thanks to Steven from the reception! We bought a motorbike and we could leave 1 backpack at the hotel for 2 weeks while driving around in vietnam (for free!!) Also the rooms... More

Great price, great attentative service, breakfast included, clean, and great location. For a reasonable budget, this is all you need in Hanoi. Imortantly for me,nthe coffee is bottemless, and epically tasty.

security is not great and walls are paper thin, i always like some form of fruit for breakfast but none, even after asking, staff were good they did what they could i guess. the name on the outside was the rising dragon with the serenity on the inside, confusing

When I choose a hotel room that's priced below market value, I know there might be some peeling wallpaper. What I did NOT expect was the high level of attention the staff dedicates to their customers. This goes beyond your basic tourism advice and booking service. They will help you out in all sorts of ways I've never expected a... More

The rooms are a decent size although not very well kept and bathroom rather small. What I really really loved about serenity was out view and the AMZING service! All the staff are very helpful and not pushy with the sales. Will be back for sure!

If you're looking for a hotel in a great location this is it. Serenity is perfect if all you need is a bed to sleep in and a (quick) hot shower. Don't expect it to look like The Hilton, yeah the rooms are a little shabby but if you're travelling on a budget this place is great. The wifi wasn't... More
