The hotel is located on a small alley not very far from the lake in the old quarter. We found the cheapest rate ever paid in Vietnam for a great room with air con, fridge and window. Even the breakfast was included and we paid less than a rio in a hostel! The room was super clean and the bed... More

Be careful when booking a reservation at this hotel. We booked through lonely planet to stay at camellia hotel 6. However upon arrival we were ushered into a taxi and taken to a 'sister hotel' which was awful to say the least. The manager Stephen, was extremely unhelpful for example: when we were trying to figure out our location in... More

The expectations set by their advertising were justified. The goods: Great service, nice big beds, mini bar, fridge, wifi in the rooms. It was great to be able to have a cold beer on the balcony. The bads: Bathrooms - our shower wasn't properly plumbed in so the bathroom floor filled with water. On our last night (in a different... More

I asked for a lower floor as I was an older female travelling alone and thought the stairs plus suitcase may have been a bit much for me. The room was on the first floor but very small and stuffy. I think the upper rooms would have been bigger. Wi-Fi a bit in and out. Lovely couple ran it and... More

This was by far the best hotel I stayed in while visiting Hanoi. The room was very clean and the bed super comfy. I came back more than once because my first stay was so good. The couple that run it are lovely and made me feel more than welcome. A great central location to explore Hanoi from. And a... More

I arrived here in September 2014 to teach English, I ended up staying until mid December. Anh and Phuong were excellent hosts, every morning greeted with a smile, every evening greeted with a "how are you?".. Working away from home can be a little hard sometimes but talking with this now live in family really gave me a home like... More

The place was ok, nothing special. We did get a room on the 5th floor (no lift) which was super quiet. The bathroom, however, was old and a bit grimy. When you showered in the bathtub, water flowed all over the place and so the floor was always wet. The towels were old and grey. I guess you can't really... More

We spent two nights at this hotel, and while the couple that run the place were great the room was not so we moved to a different hotel for the remainder of our stay in Hanoi. My husband and I are budget travelers and all we care about is that the room is clean and comfortable so we are not... More

I stayed here for two nights. The reasons I would stay here are location and service. The standard room is basic, and although clean, perhaps not worth the price of $14. The bathroom for my room was tiny, and it was impossible to sit on the toilet comfortably. However, since I did not spend too much time in my room,... More
