For the people who only read the first paragraph I'll say that if this hotel is within your budget then book it with confidence, if not, then stretch your budget.  The hotel is about 10 minutes, maybe a little more, from the lake. Returning is uphill but I found it very do-able and I'm 60 years old. There are moped... More

The staff at this hotel are very efficient, friendly and helpful. I emailed some queries before arriving and had a prompt response each time. The building is not in the very centre of Dalat, but a 20 minute up hill walk from the market. It is near the well reputed V restaurant and various places to have massage after a... More

Definitely one of the best hotels we stayed in while travelling in Asia! 3 star with a 5 star service. The staff really makes sure it is a home away from home. The owner is a very pleasant woman. The rooms are clean and comfortable. They have good tours and can help with the booking of local bustickets (which are... More

Ly Na, the young woman at the desk, provided exemplary service. I left my shoulder purse in the breakfast room which had my iPod. This I discovered at the airport. I emailed Ly Na and within minutes she emailed back that she found it. Then she forwarded it to the bus station in Saigon. Within days I had it back.... More

I stayed here for 5 nights and was very happy with it. The staff, from reception, to dining room, to the guy outside, were consistently warm, friendly, kind and helpful. The room was a generous size, nicely furnished and high ceilings. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was great. I went on a tour to the countryside organised by the hotel.... More

Our room has a window but it was facing a brick wall and the lighting is not adequate so it really dark in our room. The water pressure is so low that I can't take a shower with the shower head up high. There were no towels and soap so we had to request from the front desk. Also, we... More

Was nog particularly bad or good. Rooms are noisy, but quit comfortable. All though the rooms are reasonably priced, you can most likely do better in Dalat. The tour they offer around the area was amusing and fair priced.

Have you seen W.Anderson's The Grand Budapest Hotel? This is what came to my mind during stay in Dai Loi Hotel. Of course its a much smaller and Vietnamese version of the hotel but definitely had it's charm. I think we were the only guests of the hotel. maybe there was one more room taken. Service was excellent (and that's... More

We stayed here recently for two nights during our trip to Da Lat. Admittedly the decor of the hotel is a little dated, with a sense of 'faded glamour' about the place, but his kind of added to the atmosphere though. However, the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, we had a couple of unusual requests and situations and they... More

Stayed 2 nights at Dai Loi in Sep 14 after reading good reviews on TA. Good location although Dalat is fairly big so not in walking distance to everything, but definitely the main area/markets is not too far to walk. Requested a quiet room at the back of the building on a high level as per TA room tips and... More
