Billed as an international standard hotel, the Saphir was a great disappointment! Plumbing in the bathroom was spartan and very smelly; the room, although appearing 'charming' was cool and unbelievably noisy throughout the night. The top third of the windows was covered only with fly-screen & unable to close out wind or noise. Late-arriving buses were constantly being directed by... More

The Saphir is on a hill around many hotels, but stands unique among the neighboring hotels. It resembles a Bavarian castle with antiques and beautiful brickwork and architecture. The lower floors are a little dark, but the upper two have great views. We stayed on floor 3, but the top floor (no elevator) looks even better. The rooms are nice... More

We visited Da Lat as part of our motorcycle tour and stayed in the Saphir Dalat Hotel. I loved the French colonial architecture reminiscent of the French architecture of coastal towns like Deauville. I'm not sure why this hotel has had some quite poor reviews on TA. We found it to be very welcoming, clean and charming. It's very close... More

We stayed in this hotel 3 nights and it was an awful place. Room was dark and dusty. Shower was from the 19th century with just taps, a hose and a bucket. Dead flies and bugs throughout the hotel, everything is old and dusty. Electricity went out when it rained. Paper thin walls so you could hear every noise from... More

We are return guest and staying there for two nights. When we made the reservation, we had booked for one double bed because we are couple, and we did it three weeks in advance and for making sure, we called the reception to confirm our booking. However, when we arrived on Sunday evening, they said there was no double bed... More

Rustic building not suitable to sleep or relax. Due to the extremely large ventilation windows (totally open with just a net), the indoor temperature is the same as the outdoor. This also lets all the noise in.

- Interesting with classical facility, from design to furniture. Some modern facilities also has a classical designed cover. - Some corners look so cute with flower - Located in quiet place, but near center like Dalat market (just 5 minutes for walk by a local path) - Friendly and enthusiasm staffs - Good service (even they have just a few... The staff at Saphir Dalat Hotel are some of the most personable and helpful I've experienced in Vietnam. I just wish the hotel matched them. Our room was on the top floor. Fine, I'm sure in summer, but in December this is far from ideal. There was insulation on the ceiling, which was bare tiles. The room also seemed dusty.... More

Saphir Hotel Dalat It looks like a castle. The rooms are in colonial style. Beautiful everything in wood, even the elevator. The reception was absolute friendly and helpful. They gave me a room on the 3. Floor accessible over many stares. When they observed my walking problems, I could change to a room on the ground floor. But there is... More
