We enjoyed a one night stay at this hotel Very clean and quiet, located 5 minutes from the center of Da Lat. Rooms are very big and comfortable, nice view of the city at night, has free, strong and fast Wi-Fi connection, taxi services and tranquile atmosphere. Breakfast was also very generous, lots of local tropicalfruits, and tasety desserts.

We stayed two nights at the Sammy hotel during our Vietnam tour and enjoyed the experience. Other reviews have got it right pretty much in my view - it's an older hotel that may have seen better days but still manages to retain its grand air. The room and bed were large with a view over the rooftops of Dalat.... More

A charming grand hotel - large comfortable rooms, well furnished. Good buffet breakfast (I think the best I had in Vietnam). Was told this was a new hotel - it isn't, and like others have pointed out, it does have some wear but its probably one of the better Vietnam hotels we have seen. Very nic place to stay --... More

Other folks have said they fail on the details and the place is run down. That's not entirely incorrect. There are some tattered carpets and scuffs here and there. But it's really not a big deal, unless carpets are really important to you. Rooms are spacious and clean, service is good, staff are friendly, and it's in a great location.... More

So far this has been my favourite hotel in Vietnam. Great rooms with views and the cleanest by far. Friendly staff and great breakfasts. This hotel was ideally located near the crazy house and a 10 minute walk from the market. I would Recommend this hotel.

Overall I rate this hotel as good, a category not recognised by TripAdvisor. The public areas and staff were generally good. The range and quality of food at breakfast was also good the only problem that I suffered was getting HOT coffee. The room was spacious with a comfortable bed, the bathroom was tired and using the shower resulted in... More

We had a very large room, 219, in this hotel, clearly modeled after colonial architecture. Only hotel during 4 weeks that had carpeting and parts of it showed a little wear, but it sort of added to the ambiance. No air conditioning because of Dalat's temperate climate, but windows opened, and a large floor fan was provided. It also cooled... More

The Sammy Dalat is a relic from the colonial period of Vietnam's history. Like many relics, it's a bit worn around the edges, but all the basics are in solid working order and visually it is grand! Rooms are on the large side, even the lower rate category is very comfortable with large windows and balconies. Staff is helpful and... More

Enjoyed my stay at this charming hotel. Easy to walk around the area and find your way back! I broke away from the group and visited the Gaudi inspired Crazy House, which I highly recommend. It is literally a minute away by foot and one of the things to see in the area. There is a lot to see in... More

Well situated in lovely old Dalat near the Crazy House. A hotel partly from the 1930's but now very modern. Good choice for breakfast. Showers and bathroom fine. Beds very comfortable. Staff helpful and agreeable. Smart but not over the top
