The location in Phuket town is pretty good. But Phuket town is not worth it, to stay there (unless you havent seen a Thai-town before, but even so there are some better ones on the mainland). And you have free internet (4PC and WLan) which is pretty fast. The first impression is: Nice and clean. Unfortunately there are some negativ... more

The hostel was nice enough--relatively clean rooms, DVD players (awesome), and a friendly staff. That being said, Phuket town is totally dead and there's no reason to stop there as a stop off on the way to the actual beach life. more

First everything looked fine, but - ưhen we came back at night to pick up our luggage from the "safe" room - I reliazed that my credit card and other banking stuff have been stolen. When we complained, they looked kind and promised to look back the CCTV pictures (recoding only the aisle, where the room was accessible from) and... more

This hostel had a nice traveler-type atmosphere. The common room had a library of DVDs, 4 computers, a seating area, while in the back they had a leafy patio and a kitchenette. I stayed 1 night in a room and another night in a AC dorm bed. Although the room had a nice flat screen tv, and a DVD player... more

When we arrived we could not look at the room until we had paid the full amount for 1 week up front ( we should have smelled a rat). The room was large and clean - the toilet was like a cell with a small door that you keep banging your head on and a patched up hole in the... more

My friend and I really had a nice stay at Phuket Backpacker. The community area is very cool and you feel like you were at home. But we booked a busticket from Phuket to Bangkok and asked specifically for the 24 seater VIP bus because it would be more confortable for the long trip. The lady told us it is... more

If you are leaving Phuket by bus this is an excellent location because you are close to the local bus routes and not far from the large bus terminal. The hostel was clean and had the usual flashpacker amenities like internet, in house food and a TV room. There is a day market nearly across the street. more

Seriously, this is the nicest backpackers hostel I have ever stayed in! I can't compliment it enough - it has got everything (except a pool, but then Phuket is a beach resort so whatever!) I stayed here for 2 nights just recently (June 2008) and loved this hostel. I was staying in an air conditioned dorm (which was only 50... more

I found this place quite by chance while looking for budget accommodations in Phuket. It is a gem. It is very clean, large and spacious. It is NOT walking distance from the bus station especially with bags, unless you like very long walks. I took a taxi......about 5 mins drive...cost 100baht which is fair...might be less on motor bike taxi... more
