I got to the Flipper lodge early. The receptionist had informed me that my room won't be ready for @ least FOUR hours. So I just said thank you and sat in the lobby opened my laptop and tarted to check my emails. ( mind you, she offered me another room on a lower floor. But she said I wouldn't... More

Booked into Flipper lodge for 5 nights not expecting much. When I arrived I got very little response from the desk staff who had trouble with smiling ( strange in Thailand ).Once booked in the room was fine, huge bed, two large singles pushed together and in all clean and tidy. Stay in Flipper Lodge in April 2014.Good location:Soi 8,just beside Festival, big rooms, nice roof pool, excellent brekfast:Thai-farang food. But for 1500 THB/night you will NOT get wifi, hotel managment sell "top-up" wifi cards:50 THB/30 min. So only 4 star beacause in 21. century wifi MUST be free(even in Thailand)!

My time at flipper lodge was a disaster, the staff in the restaurant are the only pleasant people in the hotel. Reception are so rude, I will never go back. This was my second visit there and I was disappointed to see things had gone down hill from the 1st visit I made.
