Reservation: I reserved my room via the Areca Lodge website, so I could get the executive room. Check-In: No problem with check in. Very friendly staff who were attentive to guests. My bags were carried to my room for me, which was an added touch. The Room: Spacious for sure, with a semi-separate living area. Bed was a bit firm... More

It is a very nice hotel, with great service and hospitality. But some of the rooms need a "make-over". A deluxe room and super deluxe room are not that different, - so there should be a bigger different betwenn those rooms. They price is very different, so the rooms should also be different. But over all, it is a very... More

The Areca Lodge is an excellent value: very nice rooms, pleasant lobby, good breakfasts, excellent coffees to be had in the very nice Cafe de Blanc, two pools, tailor and hairdresser in hotel, and Thai massages can be booked. Housekeeping staff is excellent. Lobby staff is very competent though, unlike the housekeeping and restaurant staffs, folks at the lobby rarely... More

I know this place is very popular and will probably remain that way so my review won't make any difference, but here goes. I've stayed here a number of times, initially on the recommendation of some friends. It is what it is but lately I get the impression that the customer is just a number and if you're not happy... Wish we had tried this hotel a long time ago. It has a resort feel despite being in the middle of the city. There are two good sized pools. Its a large complex with three hotels of different standard of rooms. We stayed in a deluxe room which is in the Evergreen hotel at the back in the quieter part... More

I stayed at the Areca Lodge in early June. This is a fantastic hotel, staff were friendly and helpful, the hotel is very clean, tidy and well kept. The buffet breakfast was of a good standard with good choice and a cooking station for eggs, omelettes etc. There are two restaurants for breakfast. The one nearer the reception is open... More

Stayed for 3 nights June 14 in the Evergreen wing, the room was great and very comfortable, staff were very friendly and the food we ate at the hotel was good, the pool was great all day with enough shade, looking forward to returning.
