This is my second trip here in 3 months which must say something. The first trip was a short-notice dash out on a budget and I picked this hotel on a budget. I was so pleased with the service, cleanliness and more than anything VALUE FOR MONEY that it's now our go-to hotel in Pattaya. Previous hotels were the Hilton... More

Checked into Areca Lodge for a two week stay. Stayed in a Superior Deluxe Room in Corona Wing, overlooking the Corona Pool. All staf were warm and friendly, especially the housekeeping staff. Front desk were very professional. Great location, with lots of bars, massage places and shops nearby. And very close to second road. The rooms are quite nice, but... More

I've lost count of my stays at the Areca and each time it gets better. In the past the only complaint I had was the dodgey wifi, but that's been fixed. Construction noise is ever-present in Pattaya and I doubt you'd get away from it anywhere. That's progress. The staff were, as always, fantastic and the buffet breakfast is a... More

I reviewed Areca Lodge last year but stayed in the building fronting Soi Diana, the "Areca Wing". This time they put me in the 2nd of their three buildings, Corona. There's a third building, Evergreen, said to be the best, but I haven't stayed there yet. Only Evergreen rooms have greenery on their balconies (see photo). Despite being called wings,... More

On checking in i was asked to join the ACE Club which would give me reduced rates, including on that check in. I suspected a scam, however, it saved me around £80, bonus. Its designed to attract repeat customers. Evergreen is far superior that Corona & Areca wings but they are not bad either. Our room was huge and over... More

I must admit when we first pulled into Areca I was a little concerned because of all the bars and things that Pattaya is known for were surrounding it. But it's completely insulated from that within. The staff are great & always happy to help. Indian tailor is a nice guy but the you have to pass him every time... More

Stayed here for two weeks and found the place really good . The management could do a bit more to make it more of a holiday The happy hour is too limited with only one type of beer on offer Leo Then at the pool only one Martini on offer with very few that I could see actually buying it... More

Areca Lodge has been our hotel in Pattaya since 2005. When you have been travelling in Thailand 2 or 3 weeks, it is like coming home. The hotel is nice, two big swimmingpools. Nice breakfast, two gyms. The staff is very helpfull and friendly, When you ask about something. The hotel is very central located st soi Diana Inn
