Nice hotel with impressive entrance, friendly staff and clean rooms. large guarded parking. Breakfast is reasonable with view on the pool. The rooms with safe are spacious, clean and have a balcony (corona wing). Overall it was a good hotel, I'd definitely stay there again more

Spent three nights at the Areca Lodge in Pattaya. The front of the edifice is immpressive and the lobby and pool are nice. I had a superior room and it was nice if not a bit worn. Definately a high flow showerhead. It must have put out 10 gallons per minute. I almost felt guilty using it. The balcony offered... more

The hotel manager is on leave... and it showed! My wife and I booked a 7 day break at the Areca Lodge on the recommendation of a family member who had stayed here many times and found it more than satisfactory. We arrived directly from Australia at 2:30am on Saturday and were taking to our room. It was a bit... more

Have stayed at this Hotel 3 times in the past year, although after my last visit in February I will not be rushing back. There is heavy building work going on on the new 'Evergreen' wing at the rear and also a new apartment block adjacent to both the 'Corona' wing and also the 'Areca' wing. Please beware as it... more

this is a really good value for money hotel with 2 pools, they are building a new luxury wing which i think will be their downfall. restaurant is awful and should be avoided at all costs!! although the buffet breakfast is good. the guy who runs the outside bar responds well to "suzie!" more

Stayed here in late 2007 and found it to be quite satisfactory. I booked at short notice so would have got a better rate than 1800 baht per night had I booked in advance. It is situated in a quiet soi away from the hustle and bustle, they have a car park in the basement, and it is only a... more

This place was a solid, decent option. It's definitely a step up from the cheapo places that proliferate in Pattaya, but it's still reasonable in price not to drain your pocket book. The staff were unfailingly friendly and (ahem) helpful. Breakfast wasn't bad at all, even the western fare. more

Stayed at the areca lodge from 27th Sept till 8th October. Check in was very smooth, we were handed our keys and each of us received one note that had our names and room numbers which we needed to show to receive our key. Actually this was never checked when we asked our key. The rooms very spacious, clean and... more

A ggod hotel for the price. Away from all the gogo bars on Beach road so ideal for families. 2 good size pools where it is possible to actually swim. Breakfast is OK, but not a lot of choice for Westerners. Can arrange baby sitting at a reasonable rate. ONly down side if you dont book well in advance they... more
