Had a quick overnight stay at the Marriott in a standard smoking room. The room has a balcony which overlooks the gardens surrounding the pool. The room itself is functional, but looking quite tired. The bathroom while functional is easily the smallest I have encountered in Thailand, and hardly in keeping with a 5 star establishment. Special mention though for... more

Neither me or my wife had ever been to Pattaya so this was an on the spur of the moment booking without much research. The Marriott is really right downtown close to all the crazyness that is Pattaya, but when you enter the hotel itself its a proper oasis away from everything. The pool is fantastic, great swim up bar... more

We booked a cruise leaving from Laem Chabang (For Bangkok) sailing 15th April 2009, and decided we wanted to avoid the long drive down from Bangkok to transfer. When booking our cruise we forgot two things the Thai New Year Songkran which meant Pattaya was livelier and lots of extra water! We decided not to stay in Bangkok, a good... more

The hotel is nice and the rooms are decent. The Spa is really nice. But avoid the pool after 5 PM. It turns into a big hot tub. Everyone knows what happens in Pattaya. The "nightlife" spills into the hotel too. I guess what people do in their room is private, but not when that sort of stuff starts happening... more

In a very crowded, busy city with a great nightlife this is a relaxing and comfortable hotel amid the chaos. The staff is very friendly and eager to help. The pool area and lobby are beautiful and welcoming to guests. Definately make sure you upgrade to the pool front suites that are on the bottom floor. They are about twice... more

The trip was unplanned and I just got to Pattaya and then looked for a place to stay. Glad that there was a trusted Marriott around, though the location was not very impressive. I had a mixed experience during my stay. The hotel staff appeared to be very courteous, but at the same time not all our requests were entertained... more

Pattaya is an awful place now, overcrowded with East European and budget travellers and of course those just there for totty. Bad floods in the rainy season, rip-off taxis, poor food and awful traffic. But if you have to stay there this is a well run and well located hotel. Avoid Royal Cliff at all costs and consider the Dusit... more

Marriott Pattaya’s very atmosphere is unique. Hotel is located in the city centre itself. Just go out the front door and past the car entrance area and you are in the middle of the action, or just a few steps from it. Marriott is excellent if you want the action and night life of Pattaya I would say the swimming... more

Stayed here recently for a few nights having used this hotel several times before. Ignore previous negative post regarding beach location....it is not half a mile away, you walk out the back of the hotel and it is 10 metres across the road!!! There are not prostitues everywhere on the doorstep as other has described. Yes there is plenty of... more
