The major problem of this place is the location : far away from every restaurant and nightlife (and ports and airport as well). You have to take a taxi 20min if you want to go out at night for example ( compare this with Chaweng where you can go on foot). 150m Outside the complex you have a main street... More

Worst accommodation I have ever experienced in my life. I booked via booking.com, where everything seems like sunshine amd roses, unfortunately you will be thoroughly disappointed from the moment you confusedly search for the entrance at the bottom of the unmarked dirt road. When you eventually make your way, you will be lucky to be graced by the presence of... More

Stayed here with friends. Great price, clean rooms, really friendly staff, and nice location. Only thing was that the showers in the rooms with a fan were freezing - but was alright for sun burn. I would recommend it and would definitely stay here again - but would request a hot shower x

Surrounded by a very noisy street, with a french owner only thinking of making you spend your money in his "restaurant". Lucky for him the beach is a gift of god to thailand. In resume, you can find much better for an even lower price in samui.

mmmm.... what to think about this review ? i will just respond by facts. 1) we are not surrounded by a noisy street , that is completely irrelevant ( have a look at the map ) the main road is more than hundred meters from the resort and the only noises you might get come from birds. 2) i cant... Great times at Cactus - run by lovely people headed by Jeff who made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. We stayed for 4 nights over Christmas - the rooms were immaculately clean and were made up every day on request. Comfortable beds - best night sleep I've had in Thailand. Good pizza, cold beers, showed the... More

Location is great, convenient for getting on off the ferry from Koh Tao or Samui, and also for the airport. The room is lovely, clean and comfortable. The room are surrounded by palm trees so you feel like you're in the jungle! Also, Bophut Beach is very quiet so you can sit out and have a cocktail and feel like... More

And was met with a warm welcome one evening (we where staying next door at Free House). Lovely little beach side venue. We didn't see rooms but I met a couple staying there and they where happy enough to extend their stay whilst there. Looked clean & tidy to me.

everything was fine, less the swarm of flies and mozzys in our room when we first arrived, until the last night when halfway through my shower, the water decided to stop. So for our last night we had no flushing toilet, running shower or sink tap and it still wasn't running when we left the next morning! According to the... More

For the price, you can't really go wrong with this place. The bungalows are decent enough, though I would advise people not to book into the fan-only rooms - they get incredibly hot and uncomfortable in the night. The showers are cold, but why you'd want a hot shower in southern Thailand (and most of Indochina) is beyond me anyway.... More
